I've just had a Google. Ali is due in March, and very sadly she had a miscarriage on NYE. It must have been utterly heartbreaking to film that.

That's awful that she had had a recent miscarriage. I understand why they used that plot but I'm sorry they did in those circumstances. Hope she had counselling provided.

Also given how we get the "if this has affected you..." on so many programmes I'm surprised they didn't have it for yesterday's episode.

Bingle I agree about the 'if you have been affected' thing. But thety do a lot of 'issues' and rarely ever do the phone line /contact helplines thing. Odd really.

The conversation about 'when to start trying again' must have been a difficult one to film too, as her and her husband clearly had the very same conversation, as if she miscarried at the very end of last year, they decided to start trying again quite soon after.

All in all, a very raw storyline , really not that long after joining the programme.

It's happened to me three times, I was advised no need to wait before trying again if you feel ready but that if you don't wait for a cycle to elapse and become pregnant again right away it can be hard to accurately date
that pregnancy.

My Grandpa was a rep for Palmer and Harver when I was a child, and his job was to take samples around to local sweet shops and things- they were mainly Swizzels Matlow. We used to get load of sample cards, which had all the sweets on and a4 card board thing- the refresher chew was usually a block of wood. It was years before I got to taste a real one.

We used to get all sorts of sweets and stuff, and he often too me on 'jobs' with him left me in the car, whilst he popped in the bookies .

It was a great day for our teeth when he retired in the early 80s

My vitamin D tablets that I take twice a day are like refreshers. They are chalky and sort of fizzy and I chew them
