Simon is in Alaska . Absolutely stunning. The Auras are breathtakingly beautiful.

So interesting

JustDanceAddict · 06/10/2019 21:29

Amazing, and so sad re global warming.
Any climate change deniers need to watch this, but I’m afraid he’s preaching to the converted.

bananacakerox · 06/10/2019 22:11

That was very interesting and sad for many reasons - wildlife, how harsh the winters are, the indigenous communities struggling to live in a 21C world, women going missing with no investigations as to why, then Vancouver - a city with 2 tales. My views of Canada have changed since a last travelled there c 20 years ago, feel depressed.

Whitegrenache · 06/10/2019 22:14

It was very interesting

Notonthestairs · 06/10/2019 22:22

I really enjoyed it. He's a very good, empathetic presenter. But what he was showing was so shocking - the glaciers, the impact of the oil industry on environment and society, the missing women and girls and the drug use. Interesting and worrying in equal measure.
I will definitely watch the next parts.

AnyFucker · 06/10/2019 23:03

Easy on the eye too. Ahem.

Ginfordinner · 06/10/2019 23:07

Ooh. I missed this. Was it on today?

AnyFucker · 06/10/2019 23:08

Yes

Notonthestairs · 07/10/2019 07:39

Yes very easy on the eye Grin

JustDanceAddict · 07/10/2019 22:00

Hrs not too shabby I’ll admit!!

GeoffreyAndBungle · 07/10/2019 23:48

Loved this, it was so interesting.

flowerycurtain · 08/10/2019 06:17

Really interesting and eye opening.

I went to his theatre show last year - absolutely brilliant. I had no idea he'd had such a interesting life.

Ginfordinner · 08/10/2019 06:26

He is an excellent presenter and not afraid to face difficult situations. It did get a bit preachy though.

Samcro · 09/10/2019 07:59

it was really interesting . Canada shocked me. that poor son. his mother goes missing and the police didn't even speak to him.

Peccary · 09/10/2019 08:46

I love his shows, he has a good way with people. He has had an interesting life, really started at the bottom.

FLOrenze · 11/10/2019 09:13

Was anyone struck by the hypocrisy of discussing global warming while flying a film crew to the area.

Deathraystare · 11/10/2019 16:50

I cannot understand why the son wasn't interviewed by the police? Also a shame it did not go any further - questioning others and also trying to get the police to talk about it (but we know they wouldn't!).

I loved his book.

megletthesecond · 11/10/2019 16:51

It was really good.

ConstancetheGardener · 11/10/2019 18:28

I have always loved Simon Reeve's documentaries and have seen his live show but whilst I enjoyed the scenery and found some of it shocking I agree with Ginfordinner that it was getting a bit preachy , Simon did seem to spend a lot of time telling us how bad climate change is - from a nasty , polluting plane .

Sarcelle · 14/10/2019 01:53

I found the second episode just aired better than the first. Less preachy. I want to go to Montana now.
