Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Have a feeling Dave is not happy finding out Donna is bettering herself.

That is a seriously bad haircut that man is sporting - not sure I trust him.

Ilovelblue · 16/10/2019 21:34

Oh lovely! Tucker as a WW2 soldier. Doesn't he look handsome!

Oh dear, just seen Tone sitting down to cards.

Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:34

D-Day commemorations - I'm guessing this was 1994 - so must have been the 50th.

Ilovelblue · 16/10/2019 21:34

Dodgy hair cut man is going to drive off with the car. Oh, Joy is so naive.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:35

The car has been stolen by the long-haired swine!

eejittwo · 16/10/2019 21:36

BTW - I didn’t see the bit about the landgirl uniforms. Been cut.

Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:37

Paddy is not relishing the thought of trying to talk to Tony about his behaviour - don't blame him.

Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:37

Just how many 9 months pregnant land girls were there during the war?

Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:39

Tucker is talking to an army veteran who scarred by his experiences.

Ilovelblue · 16/10/2019 21:41

The chat with Tucker and the veteran is quite poignant.

I seem to have caught up - just had the Joy-Paddy chat.

Ilovelblue · 16/10/2019 21:44

Abide With Me always makes me cry.

We don't seem to have any of the usual officers here today.

Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:47

Strange way to commemorate D-Day with Dad's Army style war games.

Ilovelblue · 16/10/2019 21:48

Charlie Fire Team? That was one of Elvis and CJ's things wasn't it? Never understood what it meant.

Yet another mad dash to the hospital in an army vehicle for Joy - goodness she does make a habit of this - I loved it when Nancy rushed her there in the MP land rover.

Ilovelblue · 16/10/2019 21:51

Joy's waters have broken.

So ladies............ when are we doing it next week?

I really enjoyed that - I had completely forgotten about that episode.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:53

Well that's another episode down - Donna is spreading her wings and moving farther away - Tony needs to keep working on his attitude and Dave is starting to see the writing on the wall.

Rhubarb01 · 16/10/2019 21:55

I can do Tuesday or Thursday next week. Wednesday will be awkward, but otherwise ok.

eejittwo · 16/10/2019 22:06

Tuesday is best for me. I enjoyed that episode, but again there were bits missing. Dave is a good guy, but he is a typical Geordie.

Ilovelblue · 16/10/2019 22:16

Tuesday it is then. Same time, 9 pm?

Funny you should say that eejit because Donna reminds me very much of a Geordie woman I worked with. I could even say they could have been sisters.

Morning ladies. Glad you're back safe and sound Ilove and enjoyed it all. Had to laugh at the thought of a smooth journey until you hit a hold-up back here.

Didn't manage to follow your Wednesday watch along at the time but have now read through it. I remember this episode as the start of quite a few changes, not least of course is the route Donna's character is beginning to take.

Have to agree with you eejit it is not an easy thing watching a programme on UK/TV Play and certainly hard when keeping up with a watchalong! They really need to do a lot of upgrading I think. 😳
