The Hunting C5 10pm - anyone watching?

New series started yesterday on C5. Not sure if to continue as I find it so depressing how young people get caught up in sexting and worse.

Its Australian, which makes it a bit different from others.

Anyone watching? Is it worth sticking with?

I have it recorded

I’ve watched the first two episodes - I think they are tackling the subject very well.

I think it is demonstrating very clearly how difficult technology and the internet have made things for teenagers today. There’s no such thing as a throwaway comment - the internet never forgets and doesn’t allow for the possibility of a teenager posting a thoughtless comment but then maturing and realising it was crass/offensive. An intimate picture sent to someone you trust can be weaponised against you by the person you trust - or someone they trusted.

I am sure I said stupid things as a teenager - I know I did some stupid things - but thankfully there was no-one there recording it with a smart phone.

Thanks for feedback. have only watched the first episode and was depressed by the issue (on behalf of the young people).

But have recorded the others so will make the effort to catch up.

I loved this I thought it was done very well I even was thinking if I'd have stood i might have shown to my teenage son, however it was ended very badly very non eventful tonight

bobdylannumber1 · 04/10/2019 00:20

If I'd taped not stood

Have now finished watching it.

I think it was quite good at raising issues, and it seemed to want to put over a pro woman feminist take on the situation.

Also like that most characters were quite unlikeable!!

But in terms of the conclusion as I was very angry. Not what i wanted at all!

Need a second series = Revenge on the #ShittyBoys

Yes! I was furious that Andy didn’t get his comeuppance - he lost his best friend over it, but I wanted him to face proper consequences - but instead he got taken to a strip club by his dad! Stellar parenting there. Hmm

its a shame the last episode was pretty rubbish, lots of unbelievable dialogue and actions, i. e zoe running through the school naked i was a bit Hmm really? i agree that the two main protagonist's were unlikeable and flawed, Ray wasnt a "bad man" but was incredibly foolish and naive to the point where it waa borderline frustrating.
, and thought cuz he meant well breaking the rules was ok. Eliza had the right idea in terms of turning responsibility on the boys, but failed to recognise her own slimy and manipulative behaviour towards Ray and using senior position over him. it was interesting to watch.
