Spiral/Engrenage - Series 7 Almost Here!

Nothing posted about Spiral since 2018.
BBC4 are showing Series 6 in the small hours this week and making them available on iplayer 2 by 2. This can only mean that the new series, 7, is imminent. By my reckoning it could be as early as Saturday 12th October.
Anyone else a fan?
Can't wait to see my favourite Parisian cops and lawyers (especially Gilou!)

Ooh, DH and I really got into this but only the last series! Is there anywhere we can watch the first 5 series?

Oh I've been waiting for this all summer. Late to the party as only found it for series 6. Very much looking forward to it.

I bought the dvds from Amazon. The series are on Amazon Prime but are not free.
Ebay used dvds are often cheap and good quality.

Also looking forward. I posted in the previous thread last year about when I was in Paris for the weekend and walked through the courtyard of the Palais de Justice after visiting Sainte Chapelle. Just as I was explaining to DH about the series and how a lot of scenes take place there - lo and behold they were filming a scene from series 7 with a couple of the key characters (no spoilers) - it was the highlight of the trip.

Dp and I were just discussing when we thought the new series might start. It was shown in France in the spring so it must be soon. Can't wait!!

Another fan here, can’t wait. Missed the early series, so have bought series one to watch until the latest one starts.

I love the way they are all so grubby. The Brits and Yanks try so hard in their series to look classy and end up looking over dressed and like barbie dolls. And yet in Spiral even though they are all dressed down they are still somehow chic!

And thanks heavens we dont have to put up with the 2nd rate scandi thrillers they have filling that slot with.

@stumbledin - I enjoyed Darkness - Those Who Kill. (But I agree, Spiral is the top cop shop!)

I know its a crime drama but just cant bear how so many dwell on women being terrified, tortured, raped ...

I prefer the more political ones.

Yay! I love Spiral (also bought the DVDs of the earliest series after discovering it at Series 4 I think), but I still haven’t really forgiven the writers for what they did to Pierre.

Ooh so excited! This is my favourite show and I am also a fully paid up member of the Gilou fan club. Although there is a warmth in my heart for the bird faced judge, he's a brilliant character.

Series 7 starting 12 October on BBC4. Can't wait. Much as I love it, I am prone to falling asleep during the second episode so I've set the Humax to record the series.

So looking forward to this coming back. Poor Gilou with his gian teddy.

About time! Annoyingly I'm away visiting friends this weekend but I will catch up as soon as possible need to refresh my memory with regards to the last series though, feels like forever since I watched it last!

Waaah I'm out this evening and then abroad with work for a week! I'm very excited that it's finally here but gutted I've got to wait another week.

Is someone going to start a thread for pair of programmes each saturday like to the Handmaid's tale. And not spoiler from anyone who has seen it in France.

Or just add comments on here.

I have my record series option set up, and hope to be able to stay awake later tonight to watch, as I wont be able to watch in real time.
