Did anyone else watch this? It's like bake off in America with glass blowing...
Just had a look on IMDb and it's got terrible reviews as everyone is so upset about the eventual winner. People raging about how it is Netflix trying to be 'right on' and forcing through a political agenda instead of choosing the best contestant. There are several "I'm a feminist but even I don't like it..." comments. I thought MN might have a different audience!
I thought Deborah was a bit arrogant and grumpy and I wouldn't want to work with her but she kind of grew on me as the season progressed. Also it's a glass blowing competition, not a niceness competition!
I thought Janusz was better overall (the judges said he had more technical ability) but Deborah had a better final exhibition. His was quite cluttered, not as well proportioned and the theme was a bit pedestrian and earnest. I don't think hers was ground breaking feminism but at least it was fun! Fundamentally I would have been happy with either winner.
Anyone else want to weigh in?
