Anyone watching ? All I can say is Jesus Christ

OP posts:
blanketsallday · 04/10/2019 19:03

I've been watching it too, I feel awful for Charlotte and her twins, hope she copes well with her mothers loss eventually.

The lesbians are so annoying, really immature, can't pay their bills but still have a baby shower courtesy of her mum! And are completely irresponsible having a sperm donor from social media!Shock

Brett and Laura ? Seem okay but argue a lot, not sure why they've moved in together tbh as they clearly can't afford it.

The foreign ones seem alright though I laughed when the dad to be said he'd retire in a few yearsGrin

blanketsallday · 04/10/2019 19:04

@Limer yeah I don't understand why they didn't want to try breastfeeding, seems an odd choice for the lesbians too as formula costs so much money and they have none!

Limer · 04/10/2019 19:48

I also LOL'd at Umair saying he'd definitely be retired by 30 and probably by 26. Do we know what his job is? They live with his family, so maybe with no/low rent/mortgage they can save a bit - but to retire so young they'd need tens of millions! Good for Alisha to want to return to education/work, following the example of her own mother.

Morgan & Laura are so astonishingly immature, they must've deliberately sought out a sperm donor (or at the very least, asked a mate to do the necessary). I can understand contraceptive failure or plain stupidity in not taking precautions, but they put a significant amount of effort into conceiving. And the name Kingsley???? I'm guessing they aren't Amis fans.

x2boys · 04/10/2019 20:20

GrinLimer I'm guessing not!.I'm finding it difficult to.like any of these mum's so far ,but to be fair it took a binge watch of teen mom. UK to get me to like Chloe, Shannon,Sassi,Et al!

thismeansnothing · 04/10/2019 20:44

@Limer on the first ep or it might have been on an MTV insta post the lesbian couple said they found their donor on social media and it took 8 attempts to conceive . God knows if it's someone they know or just a random or what

GoodBoyGhost · 04/10/2019 21:09

I'm finding it hard to warm to them too. All very immature.

I did like Charlie and Brett but in the last episode I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at Charlie and her "we live a boring life" attitude. Brett did well not to tell her where to go with it tbh.

Morgan and Laura I just find really odd. Morgan seems quite possessive but maybe she just doesn't come across well on camera.

I can't remember the name the other girl who's married and her husband wants to retire at 26? I actually skipped their segment because it was totally boring. But he is deluded.

Charlotte on the other hand, is doing a brilliant job. Overcoming barriers that her OCD presents to care for her babies at just 16 years old is really impressive imo, and she is coping with so much in terms of her mum. They are obviously so close, it's so sad.

x2boys · 04/10/2019 21:19

Is it ailisha ? Whose husband wants to.retire at 26? I.would like to.see a bit more of his family I live in an area which has a fairly established Asian community and a lot of families are very close knit and look after their own etc but I find it hard any one would be able to retire at 26???

x2boys · 04/10/2019 21:19

I find it hard *

Limer · 04/10/2019 21:45

Laura said she "fell in love with the girl next door", so do hers & Morgan's mum still live next door to each other? That's got potential for lots of fireworks if (when) Morgan walks out (or Laura does). I think their relationship will fail if Morgan doesn't find another job soon.

Also, can't believe the 2" false nails that Charlie and Alisha have!!!!!

Ilovemyhairbeingstroked · 05/10/2019 17:28

I don’t think Charlie and Brett will last . Her mum seemed to have an attitude like her too . I can see Charlie being the British version of Jenelle .

Sparkey47 · 05/10/2019 20:30

I think it’s going to take a bit to get into this one, all of their voices are really monotone and it’s annoying.
I think Charlotte is going to make an amazing mum though, she got over her ocd with the nappies so fast because she knew she had to do it for her babies, and feeding her twins together. Those babies are going to make her so strong.

Ilovemyhairbeingstroked · 05/10/2019 21:06

Charlotte is the only one I can warm to really .

GettingTheMessagesIn1 · 06/10/2019 22:12

Charlotte is the only one worth watching, her mum is in a Teen Mum fb group and she always replies and thanks people if they post about Charlotte and the twins.

x2boys · 06/10/2019 22:59

Maybe this is going to turn out like Teen Mom 3 a bit of a non starter?

ch3rrycola · 06/10/2019 23:22

I really like Charlotte and her family.

GoodBoyGhost · 10/10/2019 16:17

Did anyone watch this week's episode? They really don't come across well 🙈

thismeansnothing · 10/10/2019 16:24

Charlie is coming across like a spoilt brat. They only do extra, not basic. And has to be the best baby shower ever. Totally lost on her how lucky she is to have hers and Brett's mum go to all that effort for her in the first place!

blanketsallday · 10/10/2019 19:46

I've just watched last nights ep, feel so sad for Charlotte but she's coping amazingly with twins all things considered! She's the youngest on the show I believe and she's the most mature!

I quite like Alisha as well but can't really stand the rest Grin

Velveteenfruitbowl · 10/10/2019 19:50

I always find it annoying that they choose the worst of the worst for these things. I appreciate that some people find it entertaining and that normal teen mothers wouldn’t want to be on the show but it propagates the prejudice against young mothers which in turn makes it even harder for them to access education etc.

blanketsallday · 10/10/2019 21:05

@Velveteenfruitbowl Why would it make it hard for the mothers to access education? That's a strange observation as everyone has access to student loans etc.

I personally have no prejudice against teen mothers (I'm 20 myself but have no children yet) and I find the TV show to be informative and a good form of birth control personally as I see how much some of these young people unfortunately struggle.

mrssunshinexxx · 11/10/2019 10:00

Wow ! Charlie so rude about baby shower ' I don't like salmon' it's not all about you lady!

OP posts:
PeopleMover · 11/10/2019 10:21

The foreign ones seem alright though I laughed when the dad to be said he'd retire in a few years

Not being white, doesn't make you foreign. Hmm

ch3rrycola · 11/10/2019 13:01

It's car crash.!

blanketsallday · 11/10/2019 13:55

@PeopleMover True, but I didn't know whether they were Asian or Indian so just said foreign instead!

IHaveBrilloHair · 12/10/2019 12:57

She went on and on about not liking salmon and then said she'd never tried itConfused
