The bit with Stephen watching first dates hotel, he pulled a face and said 'I just want to suck her tits' was just unfunny and unnecessary
And I don't mind swearing or comments when they add to what we're watching but that comment was just off the wall
It's almost as if he has some additional needs

I was a bit disappointed with the latest episode. I love Gogglebox, most of the cast I like. But it just seems like there weren't many funny bits, I don't know.

I guess new people probably feel uncomfortable and need to settle, but also the choice of programmes. Im sure there were two speed brexit reactions in this one. And the serious shows like PeakyBlinders are a bit boring unless you've been following it. The commentary isn't funny because the show isn't funny.

Need more first dates and things like that, which are more lighthearted and don't have a storyline.

Yes! My sister 'phoned me up to point that out to me as I hadn't noticed. Once you have, you can't stop noticing it.

I find Jenny and Lee annoying now, as they are very self-aware and obviously set up 'hilarious' incidents for the benefit of the camera (like the cake this week).

I like both sets of siblings, the Siddiqis, the Nutties, and the old ladies.

The celebrity version this year really highlighted how unkind and vulgar (yes I am living in Victorian England 😉) the standard Goggleboxers can be, especially Stephen and the Blackpool siblings. A couple of seasons ago the series had an advert that focused on trying to eradicate nasty bullying comments online and I thought it was a spectacular irony. The things that are said sometimes are really, really unpleasant.

I really liked the celeb version I hope they do that again I liked basically everyone on it.
Whereas now on the normal show it’s gone a bit flat. I did still laugh at bits mainly the brother and sister (fucking love her laugh ) but overall not great and agree about obv staged ‘incidents’ like the cake at Jenny+Lees and Izzy walking around in the pants. Not funny.

Will give the new people a chance, can’t always tell on the first episode.

Giles sometimes veers into playing up for the cameras but his wife usually nips it in the bud by asking him why he is being so silly.

The Michaels' dad is now the colour of a well-oiled mahogany dresser. What is that??! Tanning? It wasn't so pronounced before.

And I'm another one who can't stand Izzy and Ellie (?) from Leeds (??). Just terrible.

Love the Malones though, especially when the doggos feature.

The dad is from Cyprus so presumably he tans easily. Probably just back from holiday.

I'm surprised no one is mentioning good old Mary and her friend in Bristol. Mary has a brilliant voice.😊

I’m glad to see more people calling out Stephen. He can be quite crude and cruel in a completely not funny way.

Stephen needs to go. I stopped liking him many moons ago When he said “people should stick to their own kind” when discussing interracial relationships, but he has become exceptionally nasty of late

Stephen is rubbish. He is harsh and unkind at best and most definitely not entertaining. And his face pulling....does he watch himself back and think "oooh don't I look clever?"

Mary and Marina can be quite fruity! I like the Welsh couple too and Giles and Mary and the wonderful Siddiquis! The geordie girls are thick as shite. Can't bear them. Do not like the ones with the Cypriot dad. The mother's lipstick annoys me! Wish we saw more of the malones' dogs!!
