Just that, it will be the Book at Bedtime on Radio 4 starting next Monday. Yes I know, not TV but didn't know where to post this!

Thanks for the heads up!

Yes thanks for the heads up!

Toucan123 · 12/09/2019 15:37

Thanks OP - I'm reading it on my Kindle at the moment but this is good to know!

ginghamstarfish · 12/09/2019 15:40

Also just made a reservation for the book from the library yesterday, and it's waiting for me to collect it! Shall I read it before or after the radio adaptation?

how long do they stay on iplayer. I want to gorge on them rather than listen to one per week

cheesesoftheworld · 17/09/2019 18:31

ooh, just seen you can get a month free trial on amazon audible and it includes 2 free audible books so just installed the app and am now the proud owner of the whole book!

stumbledin · 18/09/2019 16:20

The individual episodes are on Radio 4 for 30 days from date of broadcast.

And assuming the omnibus of the Testament of Radio 4 extra is the same as the omnibus of the Handmaid's Tale on Radio 4 extra that will also be for 30 days.

I dont know about BBC downloads.

I am quite enjoying listening is short episodes. It gives you time to think through the plot and characters.

SapatSea · 18/09/2019 18:12

I'm enjoying the short fifteen minute episodes each day. I subscribed to it on the sounds app and listen to it when I have a short quiet space. I don't usually listen to audiobooks or much radio, could become a convert.

Here you go OP, hidden away in ‘Fun and Games’

But the radio section is mostly about The Archers 😬

stumbledin · 04/10/2019 14:59

Has anyone else finished listening to it?

Not sure whether to post any comments as dont want to give any spoilers for those listening to the weekly installments.

Or should there be a new thread on radio addicts which doesn't seem to get used much.

Just to add which I only saw a couple of days ago that Margaret Atwood's long time partner has died. Must have been around the time the book became available.

Sorry for her loss.
