Did anyone watch Bodies?

I thinks it's a pretty old series but it's on Amazon Prime.

Jeezuz... it's an intense programme. Some of the birthing risks and maternity staff fuck ups are unimaginable! I thought I'd had a pretty traumatic experience with DS but it was a walk in the park compared to these stories.

It's a great series!

I think all of it is also on the iPlayer.

I'm halfway through the last episode of series 2 and have really enjoyed this. Intense is a fair description!

I've found it fascinating, though I hope no real Obs & Gynae ward is quite as dramatic ... It's been educational for me too as when I was reading a news story earlier, I thought, "that sounds like placental abruption" despite having no relevant education or experience, and it was. Wink

One thing I did notice was that I thought some of the language used and attitudes depicted seemed jarring now, even considering the deliberately chauvinistic characters like Mr Whitman. Talk of "slappers" from characters you're supposed to side with etc. Sad

I would definitely recommend the programme though, but probably not to anyone pregnant!

It is one of my favourite series, I watched when it was originally on and also again recently on iPlayer. It is from 2004 so 15 years ago, the same era as Spooks which I am also watching as I missed the first few series of that.

I watched this a couple of months ago. I really enjoyed it but definitely glad I didn't watch it whilst pregnant. Really frightening if some of this stuff actually happens.

Yes it’s definitely intense! Same Harry I felt I learnt a lot from it!

Absolutely brilliant series but yes quite dated. My midwife friends say it is very realistic. For some unknown reason I developed a crush on Mr Whitman BlushConfused

The internal politics that have such an effect on patient care is gobsmacking!
