I dislike it, I think I most be the only one.

I haven't watched it recently but I wonder how much it has dated. I'm watching a TV series from a number of years ago and there are things that would never have been allowed if it was made today.

Saying that I love Friends

The Janice episodes were also some of my favorites.

I can't stand it. My kids watch it and I have never seen anything funny.

Our interns this year all seem to love it. Makes me feel old! They weren't born when it started. Crazy!

The one with the apothecary table is my all time favourite. I can see why it's the most watched on Netflix even I watch it on there and I've seen every episode probably 20 times.

This thread came up on my feed and agree with PP it's over rated! I actually never found it funny but I must be in the minority. I am more of a Peep Show kind of girl

My fave is the one with the routine. I just love it. I also like the Brad Pitt episode.
I much prefer Peep Show to Friends, but there are snippets of friends that are ageless.

I watched it first time round, there wasn't that much choice. Tried rewatching it and it's definitely over hyped.

DH and I did the whole box set on Netflix. It doesn't matter how many times I watch it, it still makes me laugh.

I loved it back in the day. Now when I watch I find all the characters really irritating and not very funny.

Do you think it's too adult for an almost 11 year old?

It’s easy watching and doesn’t matter where you jump in. Not surprised it’s so popular.
I always liked Joey the least although technically he is the most thoughtful of them all.

You can still like friends and peep show!

It makes you cringe as you watch it with your own children and it’s very sexual so I think it’s too sexy for an 11 year old

All my friends loved it in school I could never get into it! I do find the characters cringe worthy! Saying that I don't find many American sitcoms funny like everybody loves Raymond, Frasier etc

I'm with @tresbe - Peep Show all the way! I don't HATE friends but do think it's hugely overrated

It’s definitely dated but my dcs - older teens love it.

Ross was particularly useful when one my dcs was dating someone who was controlling. Made my dc realise as I would comment on Ross & ask what they would do if they were in a similar situation.

I obviously had to mask it by using the other characters also. So I’d say about Joey - why’s it acceptable for him to treat women so badly & almost be a hero etc. Monica with her OCD tendencies. Phoebe for a bit of bullying etc.

They could relate to that rather than me being all ‘lecturing’ as they refer to it!

Also Chandler’s lack of respect to Janice. My favourite friends character.

I liked it at the start when they looked normal and weren’t stuck insects.

I love Janice's line to joey after she & Ross sleep together- that’s 2 out of 3 Joey.
