I just find Curtis creepy and fake. I hate how he insinuates himself into every single situation and drama and takes it upon himself to give everyone the benefit of his ‘wisdom’. I can’t take his wise man of the villa act when his advice is so often either self serving or utterly shit. He genuinely thinks it’s ‘brave’ to crack on with another girl when you have an ‘official’ girlfriend, as per his motivational pep talks to Jordan, and he was completely unable to see why Maura would have an issue with it or to tell her he wouldn’t do the same to her. His flashes of anger when he is questioned or challenged are really indicative of who he is deep down.
It is creepy and patronising to refer to women as ‘young lady’ and he makes me feel physically sick every time he does it.
He was an utter, fake and manipulative shit to Amy and his remorse was fake too - he sat on that sofa for ages after she walked away desperately trying to work up a tear so he could look human! Amy was a silly girl who got carried away and was not blameless but I still think the way he treated her was appalling. He also, as has been said, seemed completely confident Jourdanne would go for him and be grateful for his attentions despite the fact she was sleeping in Danny’s bed and had shown no interest in him whatsoever.
He dragged out the Francesca/Maura thing for ages wanting ‘to get to know’ them both despite having known Maura weeks at that point. He was so fucking smug to both ‘young ladies’ with his ‘bold moves get rewarded’ bollocks - he really thought he was some great prize.
I don’t care if he’s touchy feely with the guys but I think the so called ‘bromance’ with Tommy is utterly fake and being done because ‘bromance’ is the other box you have to tick to be successful in there and maximise career opportunities afterwards.
He keeps his socks on during sexy times.
I still haven’t watched the episode with his and Maura’s ‘special date’. I can’t. I’ll have to skip his declaration too, he genuinely makes my skin crawl.
