I'm watching series 2 too. I think I'm a bit obsessed! I would be happy with a thread.

Only caught up today

Amber having a “normal” body - don’t we all wish?! She’s got a fantastic figure. I’m a size 8 and a 32FF but she is slimmer than me so she might not be “at least a 10”.

I think she’s my favourite girl at the moment.

Was it just me or was a bit dull just watching them all on their dates?

I also found the Maura and Curtis thing weird. Was he saying he doesn’t want to have sex in ten villa or just “not tonight” cause I thought they’d had sex already

Curtis is from Manchester isn’t he? Someone compared his accent to Robbie Williams but I think he’s more Gary Barlow (accent-wise)!

Yes - series 2!! Sorry, I've not been on these threads before (although read them a lot) but I always say how crap it is now compared to then.

It actually resembled reality TV back then - not the overly sanitised, overly directed, PG programme it is now. The contestants were so much more relatable and not already the glossy pre-packaged Insta influencers that they are now.
The were lovely to look at but not all perfect, and you got to see so much more of their personality - they were flawed (like all of us) and raw. And funny!

I think it's been majorly revised so that it gets as much sponsorship/advertising as possible (of course, ITV are a business after all) so they no longer get the booze, get to show to sex, have the smoking area bitch-fests, or allow anything to happen/get shown that might possibly upset anyone. Moving it from 10pm to 9pm also had a massive impact.

So yeah, watch the early series if you want to see LI at its best! Or last year's Australia version - that was very entertaining

Only so many times you can watch the classic clips of series 2 and 3..
We need a new Big Brother type reality series as soon as possible with live feed.

I'm wondering whether those who think Amber has a normal body are around my age, mid-forties? Because when I was her age very skinny bodies were in fashion with no curves and there was a lot of pressure to starve oneself to be as thin as possible. Now it seems like curves are in and I think it's a big improvement. Amber isn't stick thin is what "normal body" probably refers to (I'm not saying being very thin isn't normal, just trying to explain why someone may have used the phrase!).

The women in the villa are all varying degrees of tiny. Don't forget that on camera people look a stone heavier.

My predictions for the final placements;

2nd Belle & Anton
3rd Amber & Greg

Molly M didn't seem very impressed with Tommys idea of 1000 rose delivered to her door.
Tbh that is cheesy and weird.

Just seen First Look. MM seems to cry a lot... When Anna left she was sobbing on her for ages. When she is giving her speech to Tommy she bursts into tears after saying "I wasn't expecting it to get so...". Is she just very emotional or are these not signs of someone at breaking point? I'm probably reading it wrong but it seems she feels under a lot of pressure.

Loving Anton and Belle, Greg and Amber. Wishing Ovie and Wotsit would be more entertaining at the moment if I'm honest.

Still not liking Curtis. Last scene of First Look is him looking a little too enthusiastic about picking a couple to leave.

I get it, stress wise it must be hard. I think maybe it is because she doesn't say much it seems to be more than maybe it is. I don't know anything about her other than she is an 'influencer' on SM and has a baby toy called Ellie Belly. I can't say I've massively warmed to her but I'm not sure why, other than she hasn't said much?

Feels like the last limp to the finish line anyway. I'm not sure I could call it personally, but for entertainment I'd say Greg and Amber (mainly for watching her grow and be happy) or Anton and Belle (he was fun, she was shouty and now they seem to be a good couple).

So do they have to pick a couple to leave tonight? Who is left?

Ovie could go tonight, they are the newest couple. They might be the obvious choice for the others
