Just seen First Look and feel a bit bad for Amber. I would hate it if I was in her position and all my “friends” were laughing and chatting with Michael.

Absolutely agree. It's like they set her up for a fall. I don't particularly like Amber, but they all led her to believe that they had seen that Michael was still really into her and the fact that she still liked him would only make her open to believing that.

Yeah I feel a bit bad for amber too. I suspect they don't want to escalate it as they now know what Michael is like. If he behaves like that unprovoked, what will he do provoked.

It's a bit like how kids try to be nice to the school bully to avoid them being a target.

For whatever reasons, it's game over for Michael in there. He's not coming out to a good reception and he knows it.

I feel for Amber, and her defenses will go back up, she must feel isolated. I think her friend were wrong that gave her crap advice, but they're not to blame for how Michael treated her after she told him how she felt. They should look out for her, even if they're wary, but I'm so glad she has the lovely Ovie to talk it through with!

LI villa must be a lonely place for Amber right now, although they make friends in there it's not the same as having lifelong best friends and family around you, loyalties just don't run that deep. She's already had bad advice from the girls and they all seem to be following the boys and turning a blind eye. Really hope she has Ovie on her side, and I'd love to see her getting close to someone, possibly Chris, but I don't think it'll happen I don't think she's going to trust anyone again for a very long while.

Poor ol Michael not a strategic thought in his head. He and Amber were 1 of the top couples. You were winning mate and should have run with that. Let's put it this way if Curtis and Amy were voted a top couple I'm pretty sure they would still be together.
But no you let(probably)1 random tweet get into your head and had to prove that you were in control, you were the big man. Now lots of people don't think of you as a loving bf anymore but as a bit of a selfish jerk.

I think publicity will have definitely played a part for Curtis, as for most of the others. Otherwise, Tinder while less profitable, would be a safer bet.
But if he was already a professional on the Irish version, it seems a risky strategy to use LI as a stepping stone. He seems to have turned it round since Amy, but it's as easy to ruin your reputation as it is to enhance it?

I remember reading that producers had taken Amber and Anna aside after the whole Danny incident when they both got in Danny’s face. The next day it all seemed forgotten and everyone was as nice as apple pie. I suspect the producers have stepped in once again

I agree RonnieScotts that Love Island is not the place to make life long friendships. Equally it is not the place to make life long romantic relationships and as soon as the viewing public get their heads around that, and start seeing it for the competition it is, the better.

Still people are saying Michael should have left with Joanna. But why? Even if he stays to the bitter end and wins she's only got to wait 2 or 3 weeks to see him again.

Don't think you can say they caused Michael to act toward Amber as he did, but they made it possible. Michael is the one to blame for his actions though.

I think even Michael thinks maybe he should have left with Joanna now. Nothing to say he has to, but I think his own guilt that he didn't, and how it will look for his reputation, is fueling his anger toward Amber.

I really like Francesca (is she known as Frannie?) and hope she does well.

It's a shame for all the newbs - in general they barely get a look in.

I hope the producers are trying to squash it - and that they are supporting Amber, and Michael after Joanna's reaction as she left.
