Does The Delectable Stefan™ still live in London?

JaneJeffer · 14/07/2019 11:59

He'll be paralytic by closing time Grin

Grin well if he does live in London, hopefully he doesn't have far to travel.

Raahh · 14/07/2019 12:07

I think Stefan does have a house in London, still, yes. Though he has lots of business interests in Sweden. He's done alright for himself.

Not like Bankrupt Bonking Boris. Grin

Stefan gets to start boozing before 12pm on finals day. Boris is probably on commentating duty, because he really needs the job. Grin

bookbook · 14/07/2019 12:19

Oh, I loved Stefan Edberg - him and Vitas Gerulitis were my favs in the day

Raahh · 14/07/2019 12:46

Aww, I do love the seniors- it was very funny .

Jacob Eltingh was great- they all were- and lots of people watching.

JaneJeffer · 14/07/2019 13:13

Boris is obviously not into juicing Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:15

Jane I was thinking that.

Unless they are femented grapes, by the look of him. Grin

kazzaD66 · 14/07/2019 13:16

Can't believe you've trademarked my description private Grin Damn! I could be coining it in by now!

Yes, he has done extremely well for himself through his various business interests, unlike Boris Hmm
Mind you, it's no doubt helped that he's had a settled life - only one wife, two children with said wife - rather than the rather more colourful (and no doubt, more expensive) life led by Boris Grin

Stefan was always an honary Brit, living in London and having Tony Pickard as his coach Smile

JaneJeffer · 14/07/2019 13:18

Raahh Grin

Who has more fun Boris or Stefan?

OP posts:
Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:18

kazza yes, Boris and his marriages/extra marital shenanigans has cost Boris a huge amount. Grin

Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:21

Jane I'm sure they both have fun in their own way. Grin

Fizzywinegum · 14/07/2019 13:21

Stefan doesn’t seem the type for daytime boozing - Boris on the other hand ...

I’ve got to admit that I was never really a Stefan fan - not sure why - probably something to do with him thwarting Lendl’s Wimbledon hopes at some point (prepares to be thrown off the thread! Grin)

I think I’m going to watch the final but can’t really get excited about it - I don’t even want any Pimms (that may change later). Hoping for a Roger win but think Djok will do it (boo!)

I really enjoyed the end of the men’s doubles last night - it meant so much to them and their families - made me feel a bit emotional.

I also think it was rubbish that Halep didn’t get a proper Today at Wimbledon and that they didn’t show any of her match. I did enjoy her interview though. I think it’s funny that she follows Mark Selby on Twitter but admitted she didn’t really understand snooker. She just seemed a lovely person.

kazzaD66 · 14/07/2019 13:22

Jane well, who's the one having an early snifter before a relaxing afternoon watching the tennis and who's the one who will have to work this afternoon, probably having to share a small commentary box with a tosser...? Grin

Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:24

See, I have been thinking about this afternoon.

It's frustrating having a final I have no real interest in. And actually, really don't want either to win Grin.

I'm throwing my hat in the ring, and saying that Djok will probably win. And I will take that as a win for Goran (and diplomatic relations Grin).

In 14/15, I was more for Fed, purely because of Stefan Grin.

More logical reasoning, as a Rafa fan, is that Fed will go above Rafa in the rankings if he wins. That will mean the same seeding scenario at the US Open- maybe it's time Fed ended up in Djok's half in a slam? Grinthe possibility of 3 semi finals in a row will be a bit much.

Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:26

kazza Grin

Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:29

Fizzy the lack of a proper TAW/match analysis for Halep was really poor. But yes, she just seemed so excited by all of it. Lovely picture of her, on the website, I think, of her grinning, pointing to her new 'members' badge. Grin.

Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:48

'Human backboard'

Bingo!

Raahh · 14/07/2019 13:53

I'm getting quite bored by the preamble. Grin

JaneJeffer · 14/07/2019 13:54

kazza Grin

Fizzy I wasn't an Edberg fan either because I was a Boris fan Grin

Same suits ! Bless
Although Tim has left the high viz in the shed

WellTidy · 14/07/2019 13:59

Checking in. I will support Djok on the basis that it will keep Fed lower in the rankings than Rafa. And that is important for the US Open. I will enjoy the crowd being pro Fed and riling Djok.

The80sweregreat · 14/07/2019 14:02

Don't care who wins.

Djok looks thinner than other years I think and much more positive

Fizzywinegum · 14/07/2019 14:03

Roger’s puffa jacket Grin
