MM takes all his proclamations of adoration with a massive pinch of salt, or she used to at least. After all he's been full of the grand gesture speech since day 1.

@Jiggles101 I was going to say that about the traveller culture. I want to say it in as polite as way as possible. The traveller culture is very traditional and patriarchal. I have heard alot of abuse of women stories, emerging from that culture. Of course I am sure there is also lots of lovely men in that culture, but the traditional culture was very patriarchal

Personally I think Tommy is too much. I can see him being super intense. I think MM is going along with it to win. I can’t see her staying with him after the show.

Danny's ex, sold her story too. When you read the full story you could see the cracks a mile off.

Honestly. I am suspicious of anyone who sells a story about their ex.

Tommy could be horrible behind closed doors. But equally, she might be just enjoying getting back at home and making some cash/getting her face in the papers.

I worked with celebs sister. There was uproar because someone sold photos of her at work. With a 'why is the sister of millionaire celebrity X working in an office's Huge data protection issues of taking photos in the office there was a full investigation. We gave her paid leave, not taken from her annual leave because she was so upset.

Anyway after the investigation we worked out who it was it was her best friend, who also worked there. The said best friend admitted the girl was in on it and did it every so often. Also the best friend had taken covert photos of the celeb and sold them. Even showed us her bank statement, to show the money going in and her transferring half to the girl in question, who then admitted it.

People will go to extraordinary lengths for money and fame.

Stinks of a bitter ex to me. Was with him 2 years, heartbroken when he split up with her and now he has asked MM to be his girlfriend he’s controlling and abusive.

She was probably approached, there isn't as much money in going to the papers anymore.
I know a few 'celebs', back when there used to be kiss n tells or a story was going to come out anyway, they would be 50/50 in on it and the person who sold the story would split the money with them. Obviously not the same but tabloids run any old shit and stick a few quotes and a photo in it.

I actually attempted to warn my ex's young gf about him a few years ago when I heard they were getting married. It does get my back up a little when I hear the 'bitter ex' excuse trotted out! It's what they both called me.

I'm wary of it sounding like I'm using her pain to make a point here but she did contact me again to say she wished she'd listened before they had dc. And he had escalated to physical abuse.

Obviously can't say for definite either way with tommy, just that it isn't impossible that he's fooling viewers.

Accusations like this are tough, as it could do a lot of damage to accuser and the accused. Best to say we cannot know! without stereotyping about bitter exes, travellers and survivors of abuse.

I can't imagine MM standing for it if it's true - I know you don't mean it this way, but there isn't some type of weak woman who puts up with certain behaviour. It can be happening to anyone.

I was with an extremely abusive & violent man for over 2 years, he is very well known within his profession as a rugby player, I have never put my experience “out there” whenever he has been in the local news or ever responded to tweets saying what an amazing role model he is and similar articles. I just want to move on with my life. It brings me nothing to “warn people” and I wouldn’t want to be involved in his life in any way at all ever again.

Oh I’m not saying either is right or wrong by the way. And you’re definitely not bitter. It was from a good place that you tried to warn her and very sad that children were then involved.
I just don’t think we should take everything we read with certainty.

Not watching the show any more but I saw the stuff about Tommy.

To be perfectly honest, that’s rather what I thought he would be like. The lovebombing of MM was too much, too intense. He was also a bit funny about MM’s numbers when she was discussing them with Maura. He rather approved Maura’s lower numbers.

I can’t see what the ex has to gain - she won’t make much money from it, and it won’t gain her popularity given that Tommy is a popular contestant.

I watched the end of Australian LI last year and the couple who won continued as a couple after the show - but the guy turned out to be physically and emotionally abusive. And the couple who came second, who seemed really loved up, the guy turned out to have a long term gf on the outside and only went on the show to publicise his business.

If either of those things had been reported in the media during the show, I’m sure people would have dismissed it as jealous ex talk.

You simply cannot tell anything about a person from how they come across on a TV show.

A friend of my mum’s was warned by her new partner’s ex, but she dismissed it as jealousy. A charming well respected doctor - it seemed absurd - until he put her in hospital - she very nearly died.

Her way of ‘going after what she wants’ seems to be constantly implying she’ll shag them and begging them to ‘get in bed with her’ or offering to wrap her legs round their head. She’s the walking, talking embodiment of tinder messaging - if she was a guy she’d be sending unsolicited dick pics left right and centre. There’s tons more to her and she seems to have a good sense of humour and a really lovely side to her, but she seems to think flirting = constantly talking about your fanny/ offering to sit on their face. It’s odd.

I kind of see her as asexual. It's like a man who talks about sex and who he's shagged etc but the truth is they are a virgin and never been kissed.

Doubt very much that Tommy and MM will last past the PA's and media attention. It will be like the Dani Dyer situation. MM strikes me as a very intelligent astute girl who has a career path in mind - maybe TV work. I can see her getting easily tired by Tommy as he isn't the brightest spark.

I warned ex's then gf even though I knew she probably wouldn't listen then, because I hoped when she reached that part where you wonder if you are going crazy, that she'd remember and it would help her. I fully understood how he would spin it.

Anyway, in an attempt to claw back the light heartedness!!! I'll be cheering for Ovie and Amber.

Butting in to declare I believe the hair flick bitchiness is down to her having great natural flickable (finger running) natural hair as opposed to the ubiquitous finger blocking extensions all over the gaff.

But would you have run to the papers and sold your story, if you ex appeared on TV, or still tried to contact the person (in this case MM) directly?

Let's not forget, MM isnt going to see this. And it will all be forgotten by the time she is out (like the whole Anton doing black face). There is no chance this is actually a genuine attempt to warn MM.

Then, if the relationship is genuine, she will be in too deep and not believe it.

Or, if its not genuine, it wont matter anyway, as she will do a few appearances with him and split.
