Do I need sky tv?

Do I need to have sky tv to watch all the good movies and tv programs? The person I’m living with is cancelling sky tv and that will leave me with no tv. I’ll have freeview channels, Netflix and access to Amazon Prime Tv.

Should I invest in a fire stick? Any other ideas? Thanks!

I think you will be fine with no Sky. you get lots of channels with freeview (list of which ones here), and netflix have loads of tv series anyway x

You could get now tv and no contract so you pay when there is a series or film you would like to watch... although they have put their prices up. We left sky and have been using them but now sky are offering us a better deal so will be going back to sky. Atm we just have catch up, free view and Netflix and can't find anything to watch

Now tv is a great alternative to sky

we don't have Sky/Virgin and get along just fine, we have Now TV (downstairs on the tv and a box upstairs) should we need it and a Smart TV to catch up on programmes (but all can be done on a Now TV box anyway). We find Freeview does the job!

We cancelled our sky subscription a couple of years ago. Haven't regretted it. We have normal TV channels, netflix and Amazon prime, and I rarely watch on anything on Amazon prime. Our TV has BBC iPlayer and stuff like that on it too. I think most TVs do these days.

No. Ridiculously expensive. I would love to cancel it but football fanatics won't let me!
