Because they are still technically love island coupled up. There hasnt been a recoupling since any of them dumped the person they are coupled with.

That's how love island works. If you coupled up with them, you are stuck with them for challenges and voting. Even if you have told them, nothing is going to happen.

I didnt like Amy. She was far too intense.

That's a shame for her but probably for the best it would have been hard seeing him move on under her nose the right choice hopefully I guess that means we know Curtis and Amy and Maura all survived the dumping

Amy's Instagram only posted 10 minutes ago about hoping Amy and Curtis stay tonight, so it doesn't look like she's quit? Surely her family running her insta would be aware?

No, it's natural to look over at the person who has just dumped you.
He did her SO dirty. He made her like him. She was looking for a fairytale and he gave her one good and proper. He has admitted multiple times to everyone in the villa and Amy separately, more than once (as he's a melodramatic actor) that he was lying from the beginning. Lying to everyone and Amy. He went from being misty eyed and laying it on thick to cutting it dead with no fucks given. His apologies have literally been laughable and he's now dead behind the previously twinkling eyes.
From Amy's perspective, she has lost out and had the relationship pulled from under her feet and in a confusing way.
It's easy to say 'get over it' but it's not normal to get over things in a matter of hours when you had no say in anything. It's a tv show to us but it's real life to others. She has held herself brilliantly and I don't agree that she's some kind of deranged bunny boiler/other misogynistic put-down.

What did people here think Curtis meant about "lying" (to himself, to Amy) - he's said it numerous times. I wasn't quite sure what he actually meant as he sometimes seems to suggest he did like her at the start...

don't like Maura, I know they are all in there for the £50K & publicity but she does appear to desperate with her jumping from 1 guy to the next so much

I liked her before, but I hate double standards. That double dumping was just rude. If it was the over way round all hell would break loose, and everyone would be backing Lucie and Maura, saying it was a 'dickhead move'. As it was, poor Marvin wasn't even allowed to stick up for himself. I don't like the way the original islanders think they own the place. As Marvin said, he came into the relationship 50/50 and not like he was punching. He's right, I don't think any guy is punching with Maura tbh because she's so OTT and I don't know many guys that could tolerate her in RL. She was beautiful when she first appeared but I honestly don't think she is now. She looks very ordinary.

Lucie is so odd and boring. I have no idea how she is still there.

Finally I don't understand why Amber and Jordan should get to choose who to save. Why should they be rewarded for nobody coupling up with them? In old series they would have automatically been dumped from the island for that. So strange .
