Ah I hadn't actually seen Amber's post. Let's keep it lighthearted folks!!

Can we just talk about love island and not have constant debates about whether so and so is racist or someone is on the spectrum. It's all just speculation and completely details the thread and creates a negative atmosphere for those of us who just want to enjoy some trash tv!

Maybe I'm thick, but I didn't see anyone claiming Amber was racist, merely stating that she herself had stated she didn't fancy black men.

I'll stick with love Island chat, then. I just hate how some people come up with agendas especially hypocritical ones. Projection I guess.

Yeah I’ve just read the article I don’t perceive that as a racist comment just that she isn’t attracted to black men.
But we all perceive things differently. She went on to say her type is tall muscly and athletic so I’m not sure why Michael didn’t think he was her type? Is he not that tall I don’t remember? Pretty sure he fits the muscly bill 🤣👀
Maybe she is generally more attracted to white men? Did she initially step forward for Callum? I didn’t watch the first episode.

Laughable. I will not agree with a narrative which says that Amber, a mixed race woman, is racist.

Honestly, you need to look up colourism if you are so intent to believe this. For example Stormzy's girlfriend's racist tweet about dark skinned girls. The experience of a mixed race person and a black person are not the same. I would respectfully ask you to stop talking about something you know nothing about. You are embarrassing yourself.

The media do seem to be suggesting Amy has walked.

She's been the most shocking for me in terms of her behavuour, and across all the series. To be deciding Curtis is her future, she was going to marry him and have children with him, that she loves him, and then crying for three days is concerning unhealthy and abnormal behaviour.

There is clearly a lot that has been edited out and not shown, if she was removed from the house for counselling, and was crying for three days, then it's probably better for her and the other house mates she does leave.

I feel sorry for her, and I also feel sorry for Curtis. There was no way to predict she would dive off the deep end like this, and i think anyone would struggle to cope with someone you're in an early days romantic relationship with deciding they were going to marry you and have your children and that they had no future without you as she had done.

And to have to deal with that on tv, in close confines in rhe villa, where your every word is scrutinised and you can't really get away from the person must be incredibly difficult.

Nobody but nobody has said Amber is racist. You're the one reading into things.

@Macca84 I agree with you post about the 'pretence of love for the money' thing and I've watched the last 3 series.

It's not like Tommy is the elephant man or 30 years older then her, he's gorgeous, and so far really sweet, loyal and kind (though who knows what's real or not!).

What I'm saying is what would the point even be of her 'faking it' really. They could walk out today as a couple and say screw the 25 thou each and they would 💯 make more then anyone else from selling their 'story' and jumping on endorsement offers.

Maybe they would even make more by being the first couple just to say 'we found love so we're leaving'. Even if she's not as in to it and just along for the ride I I really think the size is redundant to them now just a bonus.

For others in there however winning would rase their profile and make them more wanted within the industry or media, but for them it's of no consequence now that they are the only viable couple who anyone is invested in , whether they are invested because they love them or because they are suspicious of them.

Love island is basically over anyway now but I will of course keep watching just for the chance of hearing ovi say 'message' in his dulcet tones when a text comes....swoon

You said amber wouldn’t have liked Michael if she was racist, Michael isn’t black so that proves nothing. It wasn’t taken out of context because that’s literally what she wrote, the “he reminded me of my dad” doesn’t make any sense at all.

I agree with you @Bluntness100 I agree Curtis came across rather cold BUT we need to remember he is 23 and has known someone 4 weeks who then starts talking about marriage, babies & kids in her family not remembering a time without him. I actually feel for him a bit too it’s very full on and I don’t think he had a clue what to do. I think when we saw him being starey and weird he was probably just really really clueless as to how to handle the situation. He does seem to of lost his spark this past couple of weeks. I know it’s been referred to as “dropping his act” but maybe she’s genuinely drained him.

Michael is mixed race. Guess what? Racists don't like mixed race people. That along with the fact he has black family members was clearly my point.

But Sagrad it wasn't out of context? She had posted about some bloke coming onto her all night, giving her unwanted attention and said first I don't like black men. In that context I read it as 'I'm not attracted to black men'. Isn't that how other posters were interpreting what Amber said? It's how it came across to me.

@Louise0701 absolutely. I mean he was beaten up so badly that he was lucky not to have brain damage wasn't he? Surly he has PTSD of some kind, even if he is 'over' that incident, he really probably just can't deal with Amy's intensity any more.
Plus he is a child at 23 😁

@Louise0701 I know a couple where the woman started talking about babies and marriage a month after they were dating. I dont remember thinking it was weird, I remember thinking she was a bit pushy. A formidable woman who knew what she wanted kind of thing. They are married for three years now, with a child
