But maybe- I agree with you. I really don’t get aggressive vibes from Ana.
You’ve got to remember that she saw Michael as a friend and probably respected him. As a viewer, I was shocked by the change in Michael ‘s behaviour . Therefore, I can imagine how shocked the girls were when saw how terribly Michael was behaving.
She was simply trying to understand why he was behaving like such a gaslighting dick.

Birdrib · 04/07/2019 11:58

Michael had the attitude of a 14 year old girl being told to clean her room. I’ve gone right off him.

BringMeTea · 04/07/2019 12:01

Yeah, Michael's off my Christmas card list. Very aggy. The 'stop raising your voice' did it for me. Showed his true self there.

RonnieScotts · 04/07/2019 12:03

Curtis has played a very poor game, allowing himself to be coupled up with Amy who moved things along far too fast, she is incredibly desperate and clingy.

He followed the script for a while but it was apparent he was just going through the motions (all the while getting deeper and deeper) finally he saw a way out and has ended up really hurting her (while still trying to act like a confused nice guy) she is devastated, falling apart (a role is guessing she plays all the time) her actions set up this chain of events and because Curtis is such a game player, trying to look like mr perfect all the time he played the role for her perfectly.

I feel really sorry for her as she just doesn't see what she's doing wrong - she needs to channel a bit of Maura and Amber and toughen up.

INoahGuy · 04/07/2019 12:03

Does anyone else watch these Love Island body language videos by the Metro or am I over-invested? Blush

Quite interesting points about Curtis “losing the plot” and Michael’s attempts to justify his decision to recouple.

FunInTheSun2019 · 04/07/2019 12:04

Wow Anna's sister sounds like a lovely lady 🙄

Never really particularly liked Amber that much, until last night. How she kept it together God knows!! Michael was beyond last night! His whole demeanour and attitude was disgraceful!

I just can't get my head around Curtis either!! What is his game plan?! We are all so confused in this house at the moment!! Someone please explain what the heck is his plan?! 😂

DH said though that Amy is the type of girl that will never ever let this go, if they were to carry on (which they won't) even ten years down the line, if everything was perfect between them she would still bring it up! I think even though Curtis has been an absolute prat, Amy would be too much hard work in RL

butmaybe · 04/07/2019 12:04

@Blokeworldman - I think maybe you've been had, asthis is how it's been portrayed on TV and interpreted by some on social media! Read through the threads, there are certainly other interpretations. 'Young women' aren't any particular way!

As regards Anna - by your count she's said 'urggghhh' and she's said 'ok, bye' maybe a bit rude, but very minor things!
And "the repetitive 'like?'" - this really is her vernacular (she and Michael were both talking over each other)
Her 'body language' - subjective/ barrel scraping?
Some people have decided she's a rude/ bully/ mean girl etc but there doesn't seem to be much evidence! Best agree to disagree!

RonnieScotts · 04/07/2019 12:07

And as for Michael....what a lot of anger and aggression. No apology just blame. Gaslighting at its finest. Nasty nasty little man I hope we can get him out.

ProteinshakesandAntonsAss · 04/07/2019 12:08

But she’s not blaming everything on Jordan and making herself out to be a victim like Danny and Michael did, so, again, I don’t think it’s hypocritical.

But she keeps saying that she only recoupled because she thought he would. That's a line it might have been part of it.

But she was all for Ovie straight away. She was putting it on him. She did apologise. But she also said she didnt think he was that into her and didnt communicate that enough and that she thought he would recouple so she did.

She brought Ovie back because she fancies him and his age, makes him more her type.

To be fair if i see my sister being branded a bully, people bringing up her size/height and how she uses it to intimidate and shes apparently the sort of girl to glass someone Hmm I'd tell them to fuck off too.

And that's just MN.

JemimaCuddleMuck · 04/07/2019 12:11

Last night was the first time I've wondered if the entire thing is set up. If you were writing it as a story, you'd have Anna change her mind and go back to Jordan, leaving Ovie and Amber to get together. And that certainly looks possible at the moment. And does anything else really explain Curtis's actions, or why Belle has barely said 2 words to Anton before coupling up with him?
That being said I'm struggling to imagine people would be willing to open themselves up to such public scrutiny and hate all for the sake of playing a part as instructed. 🤷‍♀️

ProteinshakesandAntonsAss · 04/07/2019 12:12

It's not really barrel scraping when communications more body language that words.

It may be open to interpretation. Bit each time she has shouted at someone, it's been to cause embarrassment and its inflamed situations.

Yea I do think she acts like a bully. Because she wants to embarss people and make them feel like shit.

The fact that she keeps doing it, suggests to me that she gets something out of making people feel small.

Yes.

Everyone has been waiting for Anton to coullenqith someone for more than a few hours. And we havent seen anything.

Curtis and his bizarre behaviour is taking up more time that it should.

Curtis is acting odd. I can see why people think he might be gay. I dont think he is, but his actions are so odd. Either he has something to hide or is playing Amy like fiddle for camera time. .

I cant help wonder if he was thinking he wanted to get back with his ex? Maybe?

Add in her body language and she is trying to embarrass people

But you've not described her body language! You keep bringing up small things she's said, mysterious 'body language' and then deciding she's got a bad character off the back of it. Not sure why you're projecting this on to her? But if you've decided she's a mean girl, that will colour however you see her I suppose...

Munhu · 04/07/2019 12:23

It was very lovely of him and maybe I'm a possessive bunny boiler but I would hate having to watch my boyfriend go out of his way twice to physically comfort a (very attractive) damsel in distress. I think that Anna has sensed that Ovie is interested in Amber and that's why she's entertaining Jordan again.

ClubSandwich · 04/07/2019 12:25

Anna came across terribly last night imo, not quite sure who she thinks she is but she needs to mind her own business. She loves the drama and is stirring up arguments under the guise of being a good friend.

I’m honestly at a loss over the whole Amy / Curtis thing. Cringed all the way through their conversations. It felt like he was building up to tell her something and she butted in about having trust in their relationship and he said yes, I don’t think he was gonna say that at all.
I don’t like him at all and think he is full of shit but Amy is being way too OTT, when she said he was her future and he’s taken everything away and she has nothing... sorry but wtf. I just don’t think she’s as vulnerable as is being made out. I don’t doubt she is genuinely upset/hurt but it just all feels wayyyyyy too much too soon...perhaps she is hoping to endear herself to the public after being in the bottom couples last week.

MargoLovebutter · 04/07/2019 12:27

I think Belle is clever. She knew Anton was desperate to couple up and she got in there quick. We haven't seen or heard anything more, because there probably isn't much to see or hear. I don't think either of them are particularly invested in the other one, they just want to stay in the game.

Curtis has finally taken off the showman mantle and seems decidedly less pleasant. Still think Amy is slightly unhinged to fall in love with someone in a freaking competition.

ProteinshakesandAntonsAss · 04/07/2019 12:31

She says things in a shitty voice and has loads of attitude and usually looks down her nose while saying it. Pulling face like I have attached when speaking to people.

We will have to agree to disagree. In my opinion you can tell when people are being shitty by facial expressions.

Perhaps you are so unconvinced she isnt a mean girl you cant see it either. That's one of the great things about the programme.

@ProteinshakesandAntonsAss that face she pulls actually gives me the rage 🙈

Bellendejour · 04/07/2019 12:42

In lighter news did anyone clock Anton’s dance moves when the main villa won their party the other night? Made me lol he was doing them so seriously Grin

RonnieScotts · 04/07/2019 12:42

I don't like Anna, I really don't, but I have to agree with a lot of what she was saying last night to Michael and it was really good that someone voiced it (and good it wasn't Amber)

Anna and amber were obviously shocked and hurt and they (surprisingly) handled themselves well under the circumstances.

I hope they continue to act with dignity and strength in days to come and don't succumb to screeching like fishwives at Michael.

If amber is clever she will form a friendship with Joanna now (that would really unsettle Michael) I completely agree he will be regretting letting amber go, she needs to handle herself with grace and then wait for a nice new boy to crack on with - it will drive Michael crazy.

Bellendejour · 04/07/2019 12:43

Also I think ‘a Marvin’ could be the new ‘dead ting’. Can they please parachute in a load of new men for Maura?!

SharedBluePlanet · 04/07/2019 12:52

Anna's body language is dismissive- it is incredibly rude. She lacks any kind of grace. She has that Kardashian unwashed look.

butmaybe · 04/07/2019 12:55

Some people have emotive faces - like Jourdan at the fire pit - but I think you can judge too quickly - it's like bitchyrestingface. There's something a bit childish about pinning it all on 'pulling faces', that shouldn't provoke fights once you're out of nursery.

Definitely agree about the different interpretations making it fascinating! I'm desperately trying to avoid distracting myself further by watching @INoahguy 's body language videos - I love seeing different takes!

It would be good to see some more Belle/ Marvin/ George but it all seems a bit dull and dutiful with those couples so far. I really want someone whose Maura's equal!

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 04/07/2019 12:59

First looks up

Joanna and Amy seem to be handling themselves well, although think that may change with Amy
