I haven't seen tonight's unseen bits but I think you get more of a feel for the people and their relationships in the 'natural' clips.
Also on the main programme I'm always looking in the background to see who is sitting with who. I've seen Lucie laying on Tommy, sitting in bed with him etc but it's not the main focus of the clip.

If an early thread 'winds people up' I cannot imagine how they deal with actual daily life

Tommy and Molly have grown on me as well. In the beginning I thought Tommy was full of shit but in reality, he's fairly straight forward and uncomplicated (rather dim) but essentially harmless. Maura is right though, he does look 28! Molly is a nice girl. She handled the Lucie thing really well. So I think at this point I would vote for Molly & Tommy to win.

The underboob tops and thong bikinis look incredibly unsexy to me - especially the bikini bottoms that are veering towards a ‘front thong’ as well as back! It is just too much - virtually nothing is left to the imagination and I am so sick of seeing arse cheeks. I think by far the most attractive any of them has looked is Lucie wearing not much make up in a full swimming costume.

Why doesn't the show have anybody with "normal" bodies on it? Again it is trying to put pressure on young people in particular to have to look a certain way? I think it is sad to see all of these young girls this year with already so much work done to change their bodies.

I really think that they've missed a trick with Winter Love Island. They could have done one for 30s/40s/50s somewhere with winter activities etc. that don't require everyone trotting about in bikinis.

Probably because the people who wanted to go on the show looked like that. I don’t think it’s not normal. Nor is it unachievable. Not even after kids. Surgery is a personal choice, not impossible. Super hard work at the gym requires dedication but again not impossible. I completely changed my body shape after having my first child it was bloody hard work but worth it. I don’t look the same now but that’s through my own choice of not returning to the same schedule after having my son. It is achievable and I don’t see why it’s such a massive issue. Would I agree to go on love island as I am now - no. Would I agree to go on how I looked after DD- yes.
If it does put pressure on people it’s about us teaching our kids there are different body types and how to be healthy if most important. It’s also, sadly but honestly, about what people want to see.......

And by want to see I understand many people want to see “normal” bodies but what is normal?

Yeh I agree @jpclarke they should have all shapes and sizes also different types of people rather than just instagramming models..

I think Tommy / MM and Curtis / Amy will stay solid.
I would love Michael to stray but I don't think he will.
I sense that the singles like Maura, Anton, Lucie struggle with relationships for a reason and not just in the villa.

I don't think a Love Island for older people would work because by now we're all way too cynical to let guards down on national television 😂

I don't think Amber and Michael should win. What have they actually done to make them likeable and worthy of the prize as a couple?

Agree would like to see older people - but think they couldn't cope with the rigidity of the whole thing. If I was on there I'd be in the pool all day long, or reading my book, so not much time for a staged chat. Probably not allowed.

MM's conversation about how she doesn't think there will be enough skilled workers in the future because people don't want to study or work hard made me laugh - she is a bloody Instagram "influencer"!!!

Anton was my favourite but after that whole thing with Lucie and MM I think he has let himself down a bit. Hopefully he was just bored and will be back to his amusing keen little brother type behaviour with the new girls. I really hope one of them actually fancies him but have a feeling they are just saying they like Anton 🤞 for him.

Two days doesn’t seem a long enough time to test the couples/trigger breaks. Will the newbies stay for a bit afterwards or only if coupled up? Struggling to see how they can get much more drama out of this post Casa Amor if that’s it for new peeps etc - or will they get more in as people are voted off? They need more couple swapping - everyone is being very settled and well behaved and eyes on the prize. Anna/Jordan isn’t a dramatic split as they are kind of low key/uninteresting. But maybe two days is like two weeks in the villa 🤔

I’m not sure on Anton either but never have been.
I think that’s what MM seas getting at- cus the money she can earn from Instagram people don’t want to study for professional careers when they can make “easy” money doing what she does.
