We’re thinking about merging this section, what do you think?

Hi all,
We’re doing some work on making the Talk boards more useful and user-friendly for both regular and new users. After looking at some stats for the site, we think we could boost activity on the whole by merging some of the lesser used sections.

We’re proposing to fold the topics in this section into the Telly addicts area.

This should increase the number of topics in the section - and hopefully lead to more posts and responses to members.

I would prefer if it was easier to spot which tv threads are related to subscription services, whether that's by listing them in a particular topic area, or tagging them by channel name or service name. There are often threads about new tv shows which sound great, but the channel isn't mentioned and readers have to search to find out whether it's e.g. an amazon or Netflix thing.

Sounds good to me: there’s a bunch of threads about streamed shows in Telly Addicts and a lot of shows which were originally terrestrial but are now streamed or vice versa.

I'd be on board with that. Wasn't aware there even was a Streamed TV section until a while back. Since then I've noticed there can be two TV threads about one show.

(Plus please tell me I'm not the only dozy Dora who doesn't think Netflix = streamed tv!)

Didn't this section start so that the Telly Addicts board wouldn't get filled.with Netflix discussion?

Seems easy to sort, just delete Streamed TV and rename Telly Addicts to Screen Junkies. ;)
