I was shocked at the Warwick Uni rape chat but these red guys are on a new level.
Sad to see how many woman could only speak out after anonymous got involved.

The blogger has written an update prinniefied.com/wp/ off to read now but I have a suspicion it'll be rage inducing.

What amazed and shocked me was all the rape apologists, from the coach, to the lawyer, even saying with a straight face that the question was if they were both drunk, who raped who? I mean really, a woman that was comatose and had been carried down stairs was really supposed to have raped a football quarterback and his colleague? Shame on him. And then he implied that because she had consented to use allow them to use her phone, that she was therefore deemed to have given consent; to using the phone, maybe but not to being raped!

And the adult men, making those, it wasn't an offence in my day comments. We've all been drunk, etc, etc. And twitter telling her to not ruin their lives. What about HER life. Truly, truly shocking.

Just because you're a teenager u don't get a free pass to treat an underaged girl like a piece of garbage. And yet even in this day and age, these attitudes come out. And people ask why we still need feminism...

What channel?

Overmaars Ugh, the defence lawyer making that extraordinary reach, a failure of logic, about ‘ who raped who ‘ and consent to use her phone being the same as consent to rape . I swore at my iPad !

The additional info towards the end about patterns of behaviour was quite something.

Bbc iPlayer, Iboogy.

Yes Platypus! And even the two girls that were interviewed had internalised some of the attitudes too. And yes, I swore at my iPad too. It was heartening to see the protests, online and on the campus though. And over here the backlash against the Warwick university men, may make the (mostly male) governing bodies think twice before sweeping it under the carpet,
