I have been with previously boyfriend's. It stems from fear. I was a bit like that whrn me and my husband started dating but he explained to me we could just talk and have a discussion if I was angry or upset and ever since then i learned a new at to behave. My life is much calmer now :)

Oddly, a few years later I worked with that guy again and we got on. He also did admit he was a prick and that it was his fault, he just felt he coudlnt back down.

And me and dp had a bit of a rocky start to our relationship. It was really complicated, to complicated to explain.
