I enjoy Sarah Beeny's 'Renovate Don't Relocate' and 'Your Home Made Perfect', both of which are on break at the moment but I found this on Netflix and am enjoying...
Designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent save homeowners from renovation disasters, performing style miracles based on design 'tones' pitched to the homeowner's personality and limited budget. There are lots of design/style tips offered along the way and the end results are stunning. I would happily hand the keys to my house over to them and enjoy the transformation!
For background, Nate and Jeremiah are a married same sex couple who at the beginning of the series already have an adorable daughter, Poppy, born via surrogate. They're amiable and kind and seem to genuinely care about helping people make a home out of whatever mess they got themselves in for whatever reason. As the episodes unfold, there are snapshots of them balancing their marriage, parenting Poppy, and preparing for the arrival of their second child (also via surrogate though it doesn't say if it's the same one).
