Dicjybiw* I agree with EVERYTHING you said!

BrienneofTarthILoveYou · 25/06/2019 23:31

@AliceRR, yes, she called her a knob but in my opinion, Arabella was being very patronising and she came across as a smug git in the episode, so I'm not bothered by name calling, especially in the heat of the moment. Still not bullying to me.

Hebdenbridge · 25/06/2019 23:33

Arabella IS a nob, TBF though Alice 😅

Dickybow321 · 25/06/2019 23:37

Thank you @SlipperOrchid!
I was starting to think I was on my own. I really don't understand it.

Leobynature · 25/06/2019 23:40

i have just read and googled Anton’s blackface. This is enough to confirm what an absolute ignorant bellend he is!

AliceRR · 25/06/2019 23:42

I’m not saying it is bullying. My initial point was that how Amber feels isn’t the issue, it’s her (and Anna’s) behaviour that is a problem IMHO. Arabella has been a bit more civilised.

FrustratedTeddyLamp · 25/06/2019 23:55

Why are people on twitter acting like the girls are 70 years old known eachother since they were on the breast through thick and thin? Theyve known eachother 2 weeks, not done anything that deep to connect them and would fart in their faces in the rush if there were a race for the 50k

Dickybow321 · 26/06/2019 00:03

The narrator tonight was stirring the pot by making sarcastic comments when Danny and Arabella kissed. If I were them I would have kissed in private, but that's not the point. I wasn't happy with Iain Stirling getting involved. Imagine Big Brother doing that.

Also, Arabella kissed Danny. He just went with it. I'm guessing he would have waited. I think he justifed it when put on the spot due to bravado, as a lot of us would do. But Arabella is being let off by the Mean GirlsHmm. I'm sure it's because she's uber-confident because she's a mole so she can't be bullied . Back in the real world, what would you do in the situation Danny was in

when put on the spot? (Yewande fans will say drop kick her into eternity, no doubt Hmm).

OkPedro · 26/06/2019 01:12

dickybow I didn’t listen to what Iain Sterling was saying (I usually do, I think he’s hilarious) I’ve never known him to be impartial really

DangerMouse17 · 26/06/2019 01:49

Looks to be a "quotes" game tomorrow night.....let's hope Tom's comments about Maura are mentioned! Grin

MoominMantra · 26/06/2019 02:16

I really can't fathom how anyone can justify Amber and Anna's behaviour. Unless you were a mean girl at school yourself. Danny and Yewande were not a couple. Nobody has a right to stay in Love Island just because self appointed queen bees want that person there. That whole thing makes very uncomfortable viewing for anybody who has actually experienced bullying first hand. It brings back bad memories for me too tbh.

RedAntsBiteHard · 26/06/2019 02:20

Has anyone else noticed Danny is always wearing socks (even in bed) or socks & trainers around the pool or socks & trainers with everyones (the boys) favourite 5/8th length trousers.

In season 3 all the boys wore spray on white jeans, this season its the funny length trousers.

I do worry about the girls and thrush, hanging around in bikini thongs all day everyday can't be too healthy for them

OkPedro · 26/06/2019 02:25

Anna was the worst with her BYE, BYE THEN to Danny. Isn’t she one of the oldest girls? Fuck sake!

MoominMantra · 26/06/2019 02:26

I've had to change my opinion on Anton after reading about him going to fancy dress in blackface. That is vile. There is no excuse for it.

MoominMantra · 26/06/2019 02:36

Also anyone notice the mean girls bitching about Lucie again at the first opportunity?

'Why is Lucie still here, she doesn't deserve it' etc

Sunflower20 · 26/06/2019 03:30

Surely if you’re targeting someone, excluding them, calling them names, you’re being a bully?? In my opinion they were bullying Danny, and it was uncomfortable to watch. They didn’t have to like him (not sure what crime he committed tbh) but they were being unnecessarily mean to make their stupid point.

Bluntness100 · 26/06/2019 05:29

Not being able to switch off their emotions and play a cold detached game of competing for men, hardly makes them mean toxic bullies

What makes them bullies is their behaviour. It's fine to be upset your friend has gone, but you don't then get to attack people as they did.

And there is no way they can have forgotten how poorly Yewande behaved towards Danny,he was hardly the love of her life. For the vast majority of the time in there, she blanked him, slated him, slept with her face mask on facing the other way. It was literally only the two days after arabella came in she decided to be "affectionate". Which was a forced manipulative action to keep herself in.

The girls know that. They all know that. So the behaviour towards Danny and arabella was totally unacceptable.

Proteinshakesandtears · 26/06/2019 05:34

Not being able to switch off their emotions and play a cold detached game of competing for men, hardly makes them mean toxic bullies. Exactly the opposite, actually

You dont have to switch off emotions. They could have easily just stayed out of his way, for the evening or the next day till they calmed down.

Anna, imo, was trying to influence Jordan into agreeing with her and not being his mate anymore, at first. Then her behaviour with the 'urgh' was ridiculous. Then 'Bye then'. He wasnt even talking to her. Jordan was spot on.

Amber just wanted an argument. Both of them seem to have completely forgotten that, the all told Yewande that she was being cold to him and he would look elsewhere. They all have forgotten that they had to push her into showing him some fake affection. The forgot that she told them there was something kissing and she wasnt that keen on him.

Adults dont have to switch off their emotions. But they should know how to handle them. Anna and Amber were back to the bitchy girls they were on the balcony the night Maura and Elma came in.

And what about how they were with Anton 'you should have come checked I was ok'.

I would have more respect for Anton, if he had said 'if you werent acting like such a knob last night, I would have done'.

But instead him and Jordan apologised to both of them.

Social Media loves a strong outspoken woman. But I think they will do this to someone else (or social media packs will start liking Danny and Arabella again) and the tide will turn.

I cant see Michael and Amber working outside, if she behaves like this. It might not even last till the end of the show.

Proteinshakesandtears · 26/06/2019 05:39

MoominMantra yes. She didnt leave with Joe, so she obviously wants to be there.

Anton shouldnt have apologised for picking her or checking in them that evening.

They just believe Yewande should have stayed because she is their friend. Peoples choices of who they want to stay, isnt down to them. Who they are friends with is entirely irrelevant.

I also, think, when Amber told Micheal that she was worried his head would be turned, he didnt really say anything. At least it didnt show it. I believe she was trying to push him to say it wont happen. And he just said he understood her feelings. I wonder if he did reassure her, or is he not as convinced about Amber. Is he not prepared to promise her his head wont be turned?

RefreshifyMe · 26/06/2019 05:39

We're doing nearly a new thread a day Grin

Thanks @RagingWhoreBag Smile

Dickybow321 · 26/06/2019 06:02

dickybow I didn’t listen to what Iain Sterling was saying (I usually do, I think he’s hilarious) I’ve never known him to be impartial really

Yeah I know that. It's just LI will be aware he's getting death threats on Twitter. I don't think there was any need to stoke tensions further. I'm scared some hero is going to do something to Danny ' on behalf of the black community' as has been said many times.

Danny is really smitten. Arabella is playing a game.

Hebdenbridge · 26/06/2019 06:06

Plus, the girls were over it within 24 hours. They were just upset, not bullying. It's really belittling of the impact of bullying to claim bullying everytime someone is rude/name calls

Proteinshakesandtears · 26/06/2019 06:12

I totally get them being upset.

I do think their attempts to push him out of the group, is bullying.

But it was over quite quickly. If it carries on, then I would say it is bullying.

But, just like the night in the balcony, I think Anna and Amber were being nasty and trying to goad him last night. Their behaviour is very belittling as well.

I dont think it was bullying at this point. But it was uncalled for, childish and quite nasty.

Though, at least Amber said what she was thinking. I judge Anna far more for sitting there making nasty comments.

historysock · 26/06/2019 06:31

I also thought Jordan was spot on.
And although I don't warm to Arabella i have to say she's got some balls-I don't think I'd have gone over for a chat with the girls as she did. It really wrong footed them.

NasiGoreng · 26/06/2019 06:39

Amber's behaviour last night was unbelievably immature. She was bitching, throwing filthy looks and baited Danny twice when she called him over, then went over to the kitchen. She was slagging them off, then asking them what their problem was. She made a right show of herself and Michael just stood there like a wimp. I've gone off her now. Anna got over it a bit after being pulled up by Jordan, probably because she was worried he would go off her. I think Anna is just Ambers side kick. If Amber carries on acting like a spoilt 14 year old I'll be happy to see her out.
