New thread unless someone's beaten me to it.

But apparently only white people are racist..

I've been calling for breezy threads but the show just isn't breezy anymore. Sigh

Louise0701 · 25/06/2019 19:48

This is all going way too far. Probably be the last year of love island

CocoLoco87 · 25/06/2019 19:51

I wish someone in there would remind them all of Yewande's comments about Danny being needy etc. And how Yewande only showed him affection when Arabella turned up AND when the others had coached her. And how she would say "I'm going to go and be affectionate for a few minutes".

They seem to have forgotten that Danny and Yewande were dead in the water before Arabella turned up!

Proteinshakesandtears · 25/06/2019 19:51

I think it could be.

The islanders get far more comments that the official Love Island Instagram page. But often it's just hate. I wonder if the official page delete all the negative ones.

Proteinshakesandtears · 25/06/2019 19:52

I meant, I think it could be the last one.

itswinetime · 25/06/2019 19:54

Tea is dirt I think so I guess they are going to do an expose on Danny a bit like Tommy's ex did at the beginning. I have to agree it's all gone way to far he didn't do anything I can't see the show being able to carry on now that it has attracted which a mob like following...even the best aftercare in the world can't prepare people for this level of hate.

Proteinshakesandtears · 25/06/2019 19:57

Looks like some of them have turned off comments. I didnt know you could do that on Instagram. But Molly has no comments on her last 2 posts at all.

SweetMelodies · 25/06/2019 20:01

Wasn’t it the same for people on Big Brother even years ago? You get the weirdos who just get over invested in it all. I guess the difference now is that a lot of it is far more apparent with more social media platforms.

Dickybow321 · 25/06/2019 20:05

I don't know if this is true but there really does seem to be a lot of people out there who don't like him.

That's what you took from that?Hmm

itswinetime · 25/06/2019 20:10

Wasn’t it the same for people on Big Brother even years ago?

I don't think so when big brother was at its peak social media was relatively new/didn't exist so while everyone may have bitched to their friends there wasn't this public outlet for it. I don't think it's the show they seem to be doing all they can to make make people come across in the best light possible but there seems to be no controlling the trolls anymore. It's a shame.

Dickybow321 · 25/06/2019 20:11

I honestly hope they do ban it.

Dickybow321 · 25/06/2019 20:17

They are being absolutely disgusting on Twitter.
The latest thing is they don't call Arabella by her name and Danny is having violence threatened every other message about him. It's proper cyber bullyibg. All because he didn't pick a nightmare cold, rude woman.

A youtuber was found dead today after leaving an apparent suicide note video last Wednesday.

Twitter is so savage about love island. People are way too invested on there to the point of being scary.
Why can't they just accept Yewande was not a good fit for the show! As I don't think Amy is either and Lucie tbh.

itswinetime · 25/06/2019 20:24

But even if they like Yewande the nature of the show is people try and find love my coupling up with the most compatible person.... that's all that happened!

Next year everyone will just stay in the same couple from day one in order avoid being involved in any conflict! They weren't even in a relationship, they had been officially in a couple for a week! How have people lost all perspective?

Zampa · 25/06/2019 20:26

I think that a lot other posts are just trolling - trying to prompt a reaction. Not even keyboard warriors but people being nasty for nastiness' sake.

Hope many weeks in was Casa Amour last year? It feels very early to have it if it's next week. I don't really feel invested enough in any of the relationships to bother about them being threatened.

mundayn · 25/06/2019 20:28

AMOR! It's AMOR

LittleAndOften · 25/06/2019 20:29

Twitter has a mob troll mentality. People try to outdo each other with outrageous or offensive posts because they can, and there are no consequences. Not for a million pounds would I open myself up to criticism by the Twitter masses. It's like the French Revolution just without the actual beheadings.

itswinetime · 25/06/2019 20:30

Timing is tricky with casa amor I think wait to long and the couples are to established go to quick and the couples aren't established enough for drama. I think it normally last the week so they would come back together on Friday for a recoupling but feel like the show is behind by some evenings have taken up whole days but I might be wrong.

carmenbea · 25/06/2019 20:32

Who went "bye Felicia" to Yewande when she left? As on Twitter this has been raised as very racist 😬

Proteinshakesandtears · 25/06/2019 20:38

There are people complaining that they are 'literally heart broken'

It's all very strange!

Proteinshakesandtears · 25/06/2019 20:39

carmenbea I think it was a hashtag in the text that announced the recoupling.

I am sure they have used it on other recouplings as well, though. Not just this one where Yewande was up for being dumped.

itswinetime · 25/06/2019 20:40

@carmenbea I don't think any of the islanders said it that I hear it was in the text announcing the recoupling as the hashtag at the bottom.

Hebdenbridge · 25/06/2019 20:41

someone shouted it at her from the doorway as she left

carmenbea · 25/06/2019 20:42

Thanks for clarifying Smilecoming off Twitter for tonight 🤣 xx

BenWillbondsPants · 25/06/2019 20:43

It was one of the hashtags on the text they received about the recoupling. I've never heard the term before.
