Great to see the thread still going. Good that the bbc highlight this stuff even if they’re not getting it exactly right it opens doors for us to think and do things differently.

Yes that's why I like HFW he gets people thinking about industrial farming too; the price the animals pay and the environment. For our obsession with cheap food.

We need more people who will lobby the big chains and encourage more sustainable products. Lots of small businesses popping up and selling environmentally friendly products but charging huge amounts because of overheads and volume etc. All very commendable but it needs to happen on a much bigger and commercial level to make it a really viable option.

I recently watched the last one of the series and have been depressed since, I was appalled that the enormous factory in Scotland is actually making MORE plastic with the fracked shale gas\oil?.

There's not much hope really is there? The engineer blamed the lack of recycling for the state of the oceans as if creating more and more CD won't affect the environment.
