Ah right thanks. Evidently I totally missed that!!!

Want the psychic and pal to go tonight. Not that jodie-anne and hubby are much better cooks. I just prefer them!!!

MrsDimmond · 30/07/2019 20:08

Just watched tonight's episode Shock.
It's a cooking programme ffs! And the competition should be between the teams not groups.

Tactical scoring takes the piss and isn't fair on either of the teams cooking Angry

ImGenderfree · 30/07/2019 20:23

Very unfair marking - the wrong team went home (even though I prefer the team who stayed). Ibby and Romel are going to regret that it was so obvious. I suppose it creates tension between the two groups. Whilst the home school brothers are great TV they are awful. I can’t believe how rude they are - children’s meal???

RedForShort · 30/07/2019 20:38

The group 1 v group 2 thing they introduced last year really is making it into a farce. Especially when you've two fools like Ibby and Romel.

I actually think the home schooled brothers aren't great TV. Josh is so pathetically nasty he's a bore, and a predictable one at that.

The tactical voting shouldn't be allowed. I recall someone trying it in Come Dine with Me and they were told to score properly (dunno who by mind - the powers that be of CDwM!!)

Saying that (even though I missed the starters being made and served) I don't think I'd have be wild about either menu. Neither team were ever going to last (if it were the food being judged).

Why didn't Manu judge at the popup resturant? He commented on a dish not being what it was described as on the menu, so don't think Josh and Austin's unappetizing waffle sandwich would have been as well scored with its missing ingredient. (I'm still irked the guest chef stepped in and saved their waffle batter!!! I may hold onto this resentment for a while!!!)

RedForShort · 30/07/2019 20:42

Oh and in my more resentful moments I did wonder if Romel was a big liar liar pants on fire about not getting any enhancements- quite smooth and a teeny bit fish pounty.

youngestisapsycho · 30/07/2019 20:43

Why isn’t the food served up without them knowing who has cooked it? Then scores can be given for each course? The groups are obviously gonna score higher for their own teams and low for the others?!

OP posts:
youngestisapsycho · 30/07/2019 21:19

Urgh.... it’s just all so boring! Exactly same as last year... just each group slagging each other off... I fast forwarded straight to the end! 😂

OP posts:
MrsDimmond · 30/07/2019 21:22

It also means that we don't get a fair idea of what the food is really like because the teams' comments are so biased.

I wish the scoring was either blind or done by independent judges line it usdd to be.

MrsDimmond · 30/07/2019 21:26

Did you see Ibbi and Rommel's scoring youngestisapsycho?

ImGenderfree · 30/07/2019 21:27

I don’t think the guest chef could help himself looking at that batter. It’s a shame it would have been interesting seeing the lumpy batter being served up.

There are quite a few bitchy characters in there - Romel, Piper and Josh and Austin. The next event should be interesting - a lot of the candidates are unhappy about the result.

youngestisapsycho · 30/07/2019 21:28

NO... I didn’t. Shall i go back and watch? What did they do?

OP posts:
youngestisapsycho · 30/07/2019 21:29

Ive rewinded!

OP posts:
MrsDimmond · 30/07/2019 21:29

Yes worth a rewind. Or I can tell you ...?

youngestisapsycho · 30/07/2019 21:31

See that’s why it’s just stupid 😡 it shouldn’t be allowed!

OP posts:
MrsDimmond · 30/07/2019 21:36

It just makes a mockery of the cooking!
It's properly annoyed me. I was so hoping they'd learnt from ladt year ...

PumpkinPie99 · 30/07/2019 22:22

Oh wow, that was some serious deliberate manipulative scoring from Ibby and Romel BlushShock

DdJames · 30/07/2019 23:32

Don't they normally do the judging blind in the MKR head quarters? Or am I going back a few years! When they had the other professional judges (there was 3 plus Manu, Pete and Colin!) came in they never used to know which team had cooked which menu!

MrsDimmond · 30/07/2019 23:46

There did used to he separate judges for the cook offs DdJames but last year they introduced the group 1 vs group 2 element and had the teams judging. Angry

RedForShort · 31/07/2019 08:31

Ah this is a shame. I was hopefully for this year. Last year was a real downturn with the two mediocre hipsters mysteriously winning . Well I say mysteriously, Pete did keep going on from the start (confusingly to us at the time) about how they could win the whole thing.

Actually has he said that about anyone this year yet?

TheSilveryPussycat · 31/07/2019 10:28

Another one infuriated by Ibi and Romel and the judging system.

Last night I had a nightmare. I was in MKR and was picked on relentlessly, and walked out! Just before I woke up, I was trying to contact the producers to withdraw consent for them to show it.

All of which shows I need to get a life...

DdJames · 31/07/2019 21:54

Well I'm surprised!

RedForShort · 31/07/2019 22:08

me too, an undercooked cake that doesn't fit the brief is somehow better than a out of style chicken roule.

Plus the 'hey Josh and Austin, here let me tell you this is exactly how to cook steak do do it that way and not the way you were going to'.

MrsDimmond · 01/08/2019 15:55

Just as I was about to give up on this series and focus on Masterchef instead - I think my Google news feed has shown me who wins that!!!!
I won't know until I see the contestants but I'm pretty sure thats what the item was and I saw a name and picture.
I am so angry . I have never Googled masterchef but there must be some weird algorithm that's sussed me out Angry

PumpkinPie99 · 01/08/2019 20:59

The mum and son in Group 2 are driving me mad. Don't know what it is exactly, part of it might be the mum's constant tears!!

Winterfellismyhome · 01/08/2019 21:21

Ibby and Romel are being awful about the scoring
