Did they only make one episode of Van De Valk?

Many years ago I was avoiding A Level revision so I was wasting time watching day time TV. Van Der Valk came on and as the theme tune was/is legendary, I watched it. The episode was about Phoebe Nicholls being a bad ass rich girl.

Scroll forward to last week and I saw Van Der Valk on the Sky Planner so I recorded it and watched it last night. It was the episode with Phoebe Nicholls being a bad ass rich girl.

Is that a bizarre coincidence or did they only ever make one episode?

Yes, it clearly was a popular series and the theme tune is imprinted in everyone who was around in the 70s’ psyche. I find it weird that I’ve only ever watched it twice and it was the same episode.
