Has anyone been watching this so far? I've just watched it on iPlayer with the Indian lady and her husband. Their girls are really good at trying new foods! I wish my DS was like that.

Clutterbugsmum · 13/06/2019 22:40

I watched it. Once I go over the shock as to how much they spend a week, I couldn't help wondering how much they wasted.

Magmatic80 · 13/06/2019 22:47

Yes I kept saying that too, they had so much food and still bought more every day! I was also impressed at the children eating everything Grin

Clutterbugsmum · 14/06/2019 06:53

Yes that was good that the girls ate a wide variety of food.

Although they saved a lot of money, they are still spending far to much on food shopping for 2 adult and their 5 and 3 year old.

I wished they had address how much food they wasted along side what money they could save by buying differently.

KnittingForMittens · 14/06/2019 07:15

I completely agree. Β£1,600 spending a month in total just on food and drink alone is absolutely absurd! Even for London prices. We're a family of 3 and spend Β£200 a month on grocery shopping. I write out shopping lists and meal plan so I know I will not overspend. I think if their brands was more from Aldi, Lidl, Home Bargains etc., then the saving would be a lot more.

Clutterbugsmum · 14/06/2019 07:54

KnittingForMittens

Yes we a family of 5 so 2 adults, 1 teen and 2 tweenies I spend an average of Β£500 per month for food and household products. All meals bar DD has school dinner 2/3 days a week.

KnittingForMittens · 26/06/2019 07:41

@Clutterbugsmum that's not bad going at all if it includes breakfasts and lunches as well as snacks too :)

I believe this will be on tonight on BBC1 at 20:00. Correct me if I am wrong though? as I am looking on the iPlayer website and it says the last one was aired on 20th June and it will be available shortly after broadcasting... but I cannot find it on iPlayer?! (Ep3, S6) so I guess it hasn't actually been on yet and most likely will be on tonight Grin

Clutterbugsmum · 26/06/2019 07:52

@KnittingForMittens

Yes it is on at 8pm. I record it and watch it with my DC.

And yes it includes all meals, snacks and household products. We probably have a take out once every other month.

DonkeyHohtay · 26/06/2019 07:55

Everything was moved about last week because of the Conservative Leader debate thing which I think was Thursday night (didn't watch it!!)

jay55 · 26/06/2019 20:55

Really enjoying the chap tonight, really lovely bunch of kids. Could totally see how he had ended up where he was for once.

KnittingForMittens · 26/06/2019 20:56

Me too @jay55 what a lovely man! His children are such lovely people as well. He has done so well bringing them all up single handed. I've really enjoyed this episode.

Winterfellismyhome · 26/06/2019 20:59

Ive really rooted for them in this episode. He's done an amazing job with the kids. Such a sad story

TinselAngel · 26/06/2019 21:05

What lovely kids, very sad about the mum

30not13 · 07/07/2019 09:54

Anyone having trouble getting this on iplayer? The last episode showing is the Belfast family, there should be another? Also after ep1 the next episode isnt the one it said it would be?

BigSandyBalls2015 · 07/07/2019 10:03

I think the tennis was on Friday instead

Mollypolly2610 · 07/07/2019 18:40

30not13 I tried to watch one I’d missed on Iplayer and it’s not there. The episodes all seem to be a mixture rather than following on from the one before.
