Is anyone else watching this? Grin

Yes I love it. Colin is great! The others are so inept!!!!

covetingthepreciousthings · 31/05/2019 09:50

Does anyone know where the original film is available to watch? Is it on Netflix?

I've just seen this has been renewed for another season. So pleased, it's one of the few things that had genuinely made me laugh out loud.

I really hope Guillermo gets turned into a vampire one day.

It's either Netflix or Prime

MinesaPinot · 31/05/2019 13:53

Me and DH are loving this. Colin is fantastic and the sight of him standing in the club in his yellow rainmac was wonderful. He's the sort that I'd get stuck with on a train journey.

And yes, for ever more it will be 'creepy paper'!

It makes me laugh out loud too...and that hasn't happened much with recent tv comedy.

And yes Guillermo, there's so much pathos in that character - I so want him to get what he desires but I fear he never will...Sad

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 31/05/2019 14:51

It’s the little stuff that has me in stitches - turning into a bat and hitting a lamp post 😆

LooseAtTheSeams · 31/05/2019 15:38

I love Guillermo - the supermarket scene was great. I liked the film but the series is wittier and Guillermo and Colin add a lot to it.
Definitely agree the details are excellent - I liked the glitter "like twilight" and then regretting putting it on later.

cushioncovers · 31/05/2019 20:38

I loved the bit where after the fight with the werewolves they all turned into bats and flew away leaving the familiar alone with the wolves and he had to walk home with all the stuff. 😂

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 31/05/2019 20:59

Film is on amazon prime OP and very very good. Might be worth you getting Prime in any case as they have Good Omens which is enjoyable and came out today. Also Lucifer. Life in Pieces. UnREAL. Preacher. Quite a lot of decent content.

HelmutFrontbut · 01/06/2019 14:48

I was crying laughing when they threw the bone off the roof 😂😂😂

I've watched the whole series... there's a heck of a twist at the end with Guillermo 😉

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/06/2019 14:56

It's brilliant! Watched the first four episodes today after a recommendation in the Ghosts thread.

Topiary vulvas!

RockNRollNerd · 01/06/2019 16:09

Rage funny you mentioned Life in Pieces. I watched three episodes last night on a long haul flight and have texted DH now (in transit waiting for next plane) to say we have a new comedy series to binge when I’m back.

LooseAtTheSeams · 01/06/2019 17:26

Throwing the bone off the roof was genius!
I love Life in Pieces as well - hoping for another series.

cushioncovers · 01/06/2019 18:28

Life in pieces series 4 is on Netflix now.

LooseAtTheSeams · 01/06/2019 18:40

YES! Thank youSmile

EntirelyAnonymised · 01/06/2019 18:44

I like the energy vampire but I think the rest of it could be so much better. The cast has such promise and it is a funny concept but it just isn’t quite hitting the spot for me.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 01/06/2019 18:48

Netflix? Life in pieces season 4 is on prime - 5 episodes so far. Maybe that's just in Germany though. There are sometimes differences in content and release dates. You have a lot of bingeing ahead of you rock Smile

ILikeyourHairyHands · 01/06/2019 18:51

Is there a series? I thought the film was hilarious, I'll check it out, thanks OP.

BearPear · 01/06/2019 18:54

I’m loving it too after a colleague recommended it to me.
“There’s a bloody big werewolf on the lawn”!

Vulva topiary was genius Grin

HelmutFrontbut · 02/06/2019 00:00

Entirely yes I know what you mean. It goes on a bit doesn't it. But you need to press the subject further with your colleagues and get an answer out of them. Do you actually like the series? I like it but I don't like people who don't like it.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/06/2019 11:06

Is the film the same cast as the series? If so I'll bother digging out the fire stick remote.

LemonRedwood · 02/06/2019 12:03

No, but the film is Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, so still worth getting the fire stick out.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 02/06/2019 14:54

Well worth getting the fire stick out Anne
The film is fantastic (I like Matt Berry a lot and the addition of a female vampire/male familiar but I also liked the original dynamic - in the film you have another male vampire and female familiar but Taika Waititi is awesome and Stu is inspired. Apparently he did not realize his part would be so big until the premiere - they shot lots of footage as he is not an actor, he was a friend in real life so they didn't tell him he would be a big role as they wanted a natural performance. I love Stu).

AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/06/2019 17:01

Thanks both - I'll dig it out!

Zoeputthatdown · 02/06/2019 19:18

It's.... different.
