Anybody watching?
It should be compulsory viewing IMO.

Me! Superb,wasn't it?

endofthelinefinally · 09/05/2019 23:52

I watched in fascination, horror and embarrassment. It is a great insight into the reality.
I wish it could be repeated several times so that more people would watch.

I don't know about this. What's the concept?

endofthelinefinally · 09/05/2019 23:57

It is a film of all the meetings and discussions of the EU negotiating group. It is very honest, live filming. Very enlightening.

What channel?

endofthelinefinally · 09/05/2019 23:59

BBC4.
Part 1 was last week, part 2 this evening. 9pm.

It is a shame that there are several other things on at 9pm that are popular.
I hope they repeat it.
I know people are fed up of Brexit, but this programme is excellent.

DH and I watched. We laughed a lot, then realised it is actually tragic.

it's available on i-player for a month,btw.

Moanranger · 10/05/2019 16:35

I am watching it on Catch up, so have only seen first one. Obv EU POV, but a few things jump out.
V boys club, which is depressing & may have some relevance to how TM has been treated.
EU do appear to be more diligent than Brits, notwithstanding the fine dining & wines within the workplace. (But we knew DDavis was an idle bugger)
They seem more informal & “shirtsleeves” in comparison to Brits. My overall impression of work meetings in UK is loads of pontificating (possibly to hide idleness) Here they seem to meet & actually get things done.

LilyRose88 · 10/05/2019 17:37

I am going to watch in on iPlayer. I suspect I will be massively frustrated as I am on strong remainer.

LilyRose88 · 10/05/2019 17:38

A strong Remainer! My emotions clearly got the better of my typing!

Katinski · 10/05/2019 19:23

I'm primarily a European first,English second and if you, like me, are left with the strong impression that TM really isnt up to the job, that might be something else we have in common tooGrin

HoneysuckIejasmine · 10/05/2019 19:26

I saw part one, need to catch up on part 2. Can't help feeling they are the grown ups and our government are the petulant teenagers who think they know everything.
