Did anyone watch this? What did you think?
Sadly I found it really disappointing. Whilst the presenter does make some sound and valid points, they were hardly particularly academic. Merely just stating the obvious.

It seemed pretty much set out as a way to portray Western depictions of Queen Cleopatra as wrong and imperialist, racist, sexist, etc. Whilst obviously depictions were not really accurate, I don't think they were done with clear malice. The programme didn't cover the history of the woman in question either, and the fact that he was so in awe of holding a coin shows he's done little research.

In all, it came across as a piece for him to decry his wokeness. Give it a miss. Perhaps it's because I'm an ancient historian with some experience of Egyptology, but it appeared to me as being unintelligent.
