Does any one know why the new TB film is showing on Netflix in America from Friday but Sky / cinemas in UK ?

Feeling Frustrated.

From what I’ve read it’s shit anyway so I wouldn’t feel too miffed. Everyone said it didn’t even nearly portray him as the monster he was.

Watched this last night. I was surprisingly impressed with Zac Efron but totally agree that it didn't get close to portraying what a monster he was. I'm guessing because it's told from the perspective of his girlfriend Liz who didn't know and only had suspicions.

I'm not sure how they could have made it more true to his crimes without making it completely unwatchable.

I found it incredible how women still fawned over him in court despite his hideous crimes and even the judge seemed to enjoy/respect his showman escapades in court.

It was rubbish. The Ted Bundy tapes on Netflix was 100% better

It wasn't shit Hmm
I'm not a film critic, and only had sketchy details of what Ted Bundy did, so I had no preconceived ideas about the film.

I knew that it was from the perspective of the girlfriend, and I think most people who have watched it don't know. She clearly didn't know the extent of his crimes.

I agree with PrincessScarlett that if they showed the true extent of his crimes it would have a been a particularly nasty film. I also wondered why the women found him so attractive.

*@Littleduckeggblue*it was based on the book that the girlfriend wrote so they couldn't have made the film the same as the Ted Bundy tapes because she didn't know about most of the crimes. Most people seem to missing the point of this.

He was a horribly "charismatic" person, which IMO Zac Efron portrays very well.

Having been a student in Leeds during the Yorkshire Ripper reign of terror I kept making parallel comparisons between Ted Bundy and Peter Sutcliffe. At least Liz had some suspicions. Sonia Sutcliffe was completely in the dark about her husband as far as I remember. The US police had computers and more joined up thinking than ours at the time, and this was the main reason it took so long to catch the Ripper.
