Otherwise known as the Horatio -I will find whoever did this to you once I put my glasses back on - show!.

Should be an interesting series, he (Horatio) goes after those who killed Marisol!

Got it Sky+ already, can't wait.
Although I am now wondering how I will manage without Gary Sinise for the next few months. Any one know when the new series of CSI NY will be on?

saltireslytherin · 17/07/2007 12:43

It'll be ages before the new CSI NY starts. The DVD set is out now though, so you can always buy that

It's been in my Sky+ since last week.
I'm just watching series 4 again to catch up.
I missed the first of the crossover episodes so had to watch that.
And could someone please slap me and tell me that it is only a programme. I got the right hump when in CSI:NY, Danny and Lindsey finally got together. HE'S MINE I TELL YA!!!!

mankyscotslass · 17/07/2007 14:24

DH laughed at me all through the last episode...I had convinced myself that Danny had to die after seeing him happy with Lindsay, and kepts saying it to him over and over ( Yes, I had avoided all spoilers)!
Like the way there is going to be a recurring thread in the next series though....who was the guy protecting?....

kneazlechick · 17/07/2007 14:38

Can't wait until 9 tonight!! Sat up until midnight last week when they showed the last 3 episodes back to back.

Am I odd in that I love CSI:Miami, I quite like CSI:CSI but I just can't get into CSI:NY?? Is it just me? Does everyone else like them equally?

mankyscotslass · 17/07/2007 15:46

We used to love CSI:vegas, and werent so sure about Miami, but the last series really got us hooked, and we have not kept track of the original series now for a while. THe last series of New York was the best imo....
So we don't like them all equally either!

mumofSlytherinsmonsters · 17/07/2007 15:53

I love CSi- the normal one ie vegas. Just got into miami the last few series but can't get into new york at all

PersonalHouseElf · 17/07/2007 15:53

I'm a big NY fan. I can watch them over and over again.
Now I have Sky+ I'll never miss any of them again.
I lost interest in Vegas around series 4/5 but got back into it with the Tarantino episode.
They couldn't kill Danny. All 3 have lost one member of staff, I don't want to loose any more!

mankyscotslass · 17/07/2007 16:06

There were rumours a year or so ago about a CSI: LA, after the cross over episiodes with Brass' daughter. Does any one know if that's still a possibility?

kneazlechick · 17/07/2007 16:19

I think the reason that I can't get into the NY one is that the few episodes I have seen seem to be darker somehow. I know they're all gritty in their own way - but murder in the sunshine seems to be less grime somehow!!

kneazlechick · 17/07/2007 16:19

grim

PersonalHouseElf · 17/07/2007 16:22

I love the fact that it's darker. Miami seems too cliched for me. Beautiful rich people partying.

kneazlechick · 17/07/2007 16:25

Maybe that's why I like it - a bit of escapism. Or some other such thing. Maybe it's just that I saw Miami first.

PersonalHouseElf · 17/07/2007 16:26

Who knows? All I know is that I'm drawn in evry time!

mankyscotslass · 17/07/2007 16:29

I think I like the darker aspects of CSI too. It seems more dramatic. I like csi: Miami because it seems more laid back, although the last series was definetly faster paced than previous ones I thought. So I think i am hooked on different aspects of each. I really need to get back into the original series, but just can't seem to get round to it.

mankyscotslass · 17/07/2007 16:29

Darker aspects of CSI NY

coddy · 17/07/2007 16:30

i htik its a crap prog

really light weeight
terirbel cliched acting
i dont get it

PersonalHouseElf · 17/07/2007 16:36

That the point fishy.
Especially if your waching Miami with friends and taking bets on when Horatio does the sunglasses and hands on hips bit!
I shall admit my secret...with the exception of the latest NY boxset, I have all of them!

saltireslytherin · 17/07/2007 16:42

I always prefered the Vegas one, until CSI NY came along. I think gary Sinise is great.
Houseelf, I agree with you re the Horatio glasses off, glasses on, hands on hips never standing facing a eprson, always to the side (maybe he has bad breath and is scared to breathe on them), and always promising the victim "I will find whoever did this to you". he annoys me - can you tell?

OP posts:
kneazlechick · 17/07/2007 16:46

That's it I think - you can't take it seriously when you think about it, but then you find yourself getting sucked in. I think I must give the others a bit of a try again.

saltireslytherin · 17/07/2007 16:50

Give the Vegas one another go. With a bit of luck Sara Misery Guts will be dead when they find her!
