The Shield (aka best TV show ever) available on All4

We were discussing the brilliance that is The Shield on the Line of Duty thread and someone pointed out the complete 7 series is now available on All4.

I cannot recommend this strongly enough. Absolutely amazing.

Yes! I bloody love Goggins. He is so good.

In fact, if you do something daft in our house, you get called a “silly Goggins” because of his Shield antics / stupidity 😂

Jay Karnes and CCH Pounder are also amazing, and should be in every TV show ever ever.

The Shield was such a bloody good show. The final ending was amazing - they ended it just at the right time. Need to re-watch it so that DH can see it too.

Ooh, we’re on episode 10 (Dragonchasers) - easily the best episode in S1 I think.

My heart broke for Lem in episode 9 though - he’s just too good for all this corruption (relatively speaking!)

I'm binge watching this on Sinkgirl's recommendation on the LOD threads, and it's great, although I want to murder Shane most of the time.

Glad you finished it! And yes, she is absolutely the worst (even if you changed your mind, I didn’t!)

Hope some more people discover it via All4, it is so fantastic. Struggled through S4 as it was my least favourite first time round but it all factors into what’s coming so you can’t really skip it!

Way ahead of you... we've been binge watching it the last few weeks. I love Lem and Shane. Dutch is also amazing.

I was shocked to read that the actor that plays julian is in prison for the brutal murder of his wife in front of her child

So glad you enjoyed it - I recommend it all the time but most don’t watch it. I started a spoilers thread ages ago if you want to discuss it :)

Yes, I was shocked when I read about it at the time, and I’m really struggling to watch the scenes with him in now - the case was horrendous

Dutch is by far my favourite character, and Lem too. Lovely Lem.

Definitely love Lem and Dutch most. I think Dutch got a raw deal in terms of his love life most of the time.

The episode Dragonchasers where he takes down the serial killer is one of my favourites.

We finished it last week. I had definitely seen the first few seasons before but never the end

The last three series are so brutal, I’m getting palpitations already!
