Has anyone watched this? There are 3 series, originally aired ages ago, can't believe I missed it. Really good but some quite graphic botched delivery scenes. I had to look away and I'm a midwife Shock.

I remember this series, it's written by Jed (Line of Duty) Mercurio. In fact I was only saying this week that I'd really like to see it again.

Off to iplayer I go.....

I didn't realise it was the same writer as Line of Duty, no wonder it's so good. Am up to series 2 now and even better than 1.

Yep, I'd not heard of it before, and have just finished series 1. I like it, though as the OP said, it's a bit graphic in places. It's also laugh out loud funny in others - but in a kind of 'I really shouldn't laugh at that' sort of way. I'm starting on series 2 this evening :)

I'm just finishing off series 1 now - fantastic show but glad I didn't see it before I was finished having children.

I've never heard about it until I read of it on here. Excellent programme with some seriously graphic stuff. Keith Allen is so inappropriately funny. Is there a 3rd series? I'm nearing the end of 2.

I remember watching this when pregnant with DS1 (now 13.5). Scared the crap out of me! Especially when I developed pre eclampsia after an episode which featured it. But I couldn't help watching it compulsively.

I have just binge watched, more or less, the whole series. The last episode is entitled "Finale " so I guess that is it. It was brilliant , the characters o well drawn; it definitely leaves you wanting even more.
On the subject of being graphic, I too had to look away several times and I remembered something from my childhood. When a programme was about to show a scene that may be disturbing, a little warning sign came up on the top left hand side of the screen. Not words, just a little glimmering logo. Does anyone else remember that ? I am a bit old now of course . . .

Yes they used to do this on Channel 5 ( I am old too Blush )

We're bingewatching this (onto Series 2 now) and some of the graptic scenes do make me cross my legs and wince .

And I'd forgotten how gorgeous Max Beesley is .......Wink

TheweewitchRoz · 27/04/2019 11:14

I've just finished it - fantastic but wish they made more!

I really don't see the attraction of Max Beesley at all - he looked so smelly and dirty through the whole of the 2 series and really reminds me of Ian Beale from Eastenders!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/04/2019 12:59

Ahhhh Roz you've killed the attraction stoney dead now Grin

Actually , when he put his glasses on he did look very Ian Beale .

I kept thinking he should get a Haircut ( to go with The Job)

TheweewitchRoz · 27/04/2019 13:16

Sorry Grin
