The frock eejit - was this Ellie's you mean? Or Sheena's? I did wonder how Sheena managed a black outfit when they had only gone for a few days to New Zealand in the first place.

I did recognise the poem Rhu but couldn't have told you the author.

Sheena's black frock - I'm sure she could have found a nice black frock at short notice, especially since the platoon did a whipround.
I remember when the Late Lamented died, I had to buy an appropriate frock at short notice and, years later, I still remember the patience and understanding of the shop assistant with gratitude.

Tuesday 7th is fine for me, as is Thursday 9th.

It's me who is struggling with the Thursday next week, so 7th it is!

Just reading all the blurb about the latest OG series. I will watch it, I know I will and maybe it's not a bad thing that there are a lot of new characters? I did like Blue, he was so funny. I see Jackson reappears. I wonder what happened to Peanut. He was a lovely, dependable type.

On the BBC website, it said it would be aired in 2020. I was hoping it would be later this year.

Was Blue the SF guy who followed Bones? Liked Jackson - he was the one who first said 'It's Georgie' when they opened their briefs in Kenya, wasn't he? But there's something about Spanner ...

Agree about Peanut, he was good. You could understand how he was the perfect person to send into rescue Georgie ...

Yes, Blue replaced Bones after he'd been blown up in Bangladesh. I thought it was so funny when he was on his little motorbike and he said something like "Tis I, like Lawrence of f Arabia". Made me laugh every time. I need to look at some of these new characters as I've not necessarily heard of the programmes they've been in to date.

I loved that Lawrence of Arabia quote ilove - it certainly endeared me towards Blue who, from the little we saw of him, seemed a much nicer bloke than Bones. More of a team player and not as unhinged!

I have to admit, now it seems to be certain that there will be no CJ or Brains, I'm even more disinterested in the new series. BA had said last year that he was tied up with Pennyworth until July, so it's no surprise that he's not in it, although they may surprise us by squeezing him in right at the end of filming back in the UK? I hope not though, unless it's to show he's happily back with Molly, having recovered from the (not very well written) PTSD. I would rather he not be dead (nor Brains) but I don't want him to be with Lane. Reading the blurb, I'm hoping that if she is back with her family in Manchester and still not over Elvis, then that means her and CJ are not together.

Still think it's ridiculous she has received yet another promotion, esp when she can't follow basic orders most of the time I wonder if Fingers has got one yet? I thought I saw that 2 Section are being led by a Lieutenant, not even a Captain (although I could be wrong!) but considering 2 Section seem to get smaller with every mission, maybe that's all they need

I will probably record it and watch back on fast forward just to find out what happened after the jump, but can't say I'm that bothered otherwise! TG spoilt it for me with the car crash that was the last series

Just to say you are right in thinking it is a Lieutenant this time and there has been a little bit of hilarity on Instagram as apparently (might just be a wind up though) his name in it is to be Sandy Hurst. 😜

Perhaps his surname is Hurst and, therefore, Sandy is his nickname? I'm also now not sure, but he may only be a Second Lieutenant - so even more junior and just out of Sandhurst! At this rate, I'm surprised Lane isn't in charge of 2 Section.......oh, I forgot, she already is!

Trying to find some positivity regarding BA not being in Season 4 (or is is 5?) post car crash end of season 3, I may have gone looking for potential season 4 eye candy within the new joiners shallow of me. I think Josh Bowman has potential maybe?

I still have a nasty feeling that TG is going to pull an Elvis and kill CJ off or he’s still going to be with Georgie. Neither gives the me desire to watch and I so want to want to watch. Grumble, grumble...I need to get a life.

I saw this story www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48190628 about the British soldier killed by an elephant in Malawi and, while it is tragic for him, his family and colleagues, I bet TG wishes he had thought of that.

It was so sad for the family of the young soldier. His first foreign tour too.

Bonnie I'm sincerely hoping that TG will not kill CJ off. I'm thinking that there's no way Georgie could move on properly with her life and lay ghosts to rest if CJ was killed in that cliff top jump. Assuming he's alive and reading between the lines of the blurb on the next series, I'd have thought it unlikely she and CJ are together especially being back at home with Ma, Pa and jealous Marie (still maybe there's hope for Fingers!). I reckon/desperately hope they'll have had a brief - very brief - affair that both realise was stupid and didn't work for all the obvious reasons and she'll have put it behind her. I'm praying that TG will play an absolute blinder and put CJ and Molly back together, trying to patch up their differences, but off screen - maybe with him doing the necessary thing and leaving the army to start a new life. I think it would make a lot of fans happy and isn't unrealistic. I think Georgie could make a fresh start and perhaps there could be a hint of a new romance in the future - it doesn't have to be a full-on affair, just the hint that she will be happy in her personal life with someone else - even if they will never be a patch on Elvis! I can't see there being another series unless it's a different lead character.

rhu she's had at least 2 blokes, from one night stands to (almost) weddings in every series, so why would she TG stop now!

Ah well, kazza maybe one of them will work out at last!
