Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4.

Just turned off the DVD to catch the end of Band of Brothers - now that was a masterpiece. I read the book too and the music is just beautiful.

I remember many a mouse catching exercise in the past with my cats - there were also live frogs at one time as well. One of our cats brought in quite a few...boy can they jump!

Ah well, so it's next Thursday for the start of Series 3 - looking forward to it.

Not anything major planned for Easter. I'm going to visit family on Saturday and to do the annual Easter egg delivery run etc, but that's about all. It's good that he weather will be good this weekend, but as I get hayfever, it's not great from that point of view. Hope you all have a nice, peaceful time and lots of chocolate!!

Hi everyone - wondered if you'd seen the trailer for Pennyworth where we have BA as Thomas Wayne with what seems to be a pretty good American accent. Only short clip of course so would be good to see if he can sustain it. This is on Instagram by the way.

What I wanted to ask is whether any of you know how to access Epix programmes. I gather one used to be able to see them through Netflix but apparently that is no longer the case (pity as that I do have that) so just wondering how to go about it.

Looking forward to your watchalong tonight, series 3 was one of my preferred ones.

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2019 14:02

Hi Magi. I have to say no to both of your questions, sorry. I've never even heard of Epix.

Series 3 was very good, I agree. Each one up to 5 got better and better I thought and then tailed off a bit in 6 and 7.

Looking forward to our watchalong tonight.

Evening! Here we are again. All ready for the start of series 3 and episode 1 "Shifting Sands". I haven't watched it in preparation, so it will be interesting.

eejittwo · 25/04/2019 20:50

Me too - I'd got a bit ahead of the game with the last two episodes of the second series, but it didn't make much difference to the watchalong.

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2019 21:00

Pressing play...now!

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2019 21:00

Here goes.

Yay!

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2019 21:01

New title sequence. Look this episode is written by Heidi Thomas of Call the Midwife fame and many other things.

They are in New Zealand and they've got a new recruit called Vinny.

eejittwo · 25/04/2019 21:01

New titles.

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2019 21:02

And here's the new acting C.O. - it's Kieran Voce.

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2019 21:02

Our first introduction to the lovely Kieran Voce and we hear that the (new) colonel is back in the UK to discuss the merger of the regiment.

Cor, look at the waiter’s hairdo!

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2019 21:04

Oh, tensions are apparent between the Kings Fusiliers and the host soldiers. Now we've got a new C.O. as well.

Setting the scene here with new staff and news of the merging of the regiments.

Ah, really like Kieran.

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2019 21:04

They are all unsure about their futures - strange to think of soldiers worried about redundancy.

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2019 21:05

Whenever regimental goats are mentioned, I can't help but think of the ones in Nepal and Afghanistan in OG series 3.

Oh dear, Donna and Dave aren't speaking.

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2019 21:05

Meanwhile back in Hong Kong, we see Dave and Donna's little boy for the first time.
