a question about series 3 of Line of Duty - not trying to duplicate the existing LoD thread!

In fact I'm keeping off the new thread, as I don't want any background info about the new series before it starts! ... But rewatching just a bit of series 3, to revise what's happened so far. And I have a question (two questions, in fact)

  1. What makes Kate begin to suspect Dot - why does she start investigating him? (I know she refuses to tell him how she guessed, but are we supposed to work it out?)
  2. Why are there armed police outside Dot's interview - as far as I remember there aren't when Steve's interviewed on suspicious of murder, so why is it different for Dot?

I think it was the comment Dot made about his gambling, when they had the chilli dinner, and how he lost a lot of money, as well as his wife leaving him, making him vulnerable, although you could say the same for Ted! The armed police thing is a good point, I don’t know why that would be, but it certainly made for a bloody brilliant ending!

thanks carrie! I must go and rewatch the chilli episode at some point, and see if any flicker of recognition/suspicion passes across Kate's brow - for now, am just off to start series 5, very exciting!

I notice there are armed police outside in current series. Always best to be careful.
