I had to turn off when the dermatologist started crying what happened in the end? did they manage to remove them?

i watched it, the tumours were removed, but it left a big hole where her eye was (tumour too far gone) At the end they also found that she had cancer, and she would only live a few more years

Oh, I'm sure I must have seen the same program, but it was months ago, maybe it was repeated? It was completely heartbreaking.
