We flicked past this, wondering how they made an hour long programme about this subject, feel like I missed out now Wink

Housewife2010 · 24/03/2019 21:23

It's two hours!

I didn't see this. What was Britain's Best Crisp then?

Imnotswallowingthat · 25/03/2019 14:34

The rankings were...in order of preference...drum roll......

Walkers
Pringles
Doritos
Slabs
McCoy's
Walkers Sensations
Golden Wonders
Tyrell's
Hula Hoops
Seabrook
Monster Munch
Quavers
Wotsit
Brannigans
Salt and Vinegar Chipsticks
Mini Cheddar
Burton's Fish and Chips
Salt and Vinegar Squares
Walkers Salt n Shake
Nik Naks
DarlingNikita · 25/03/2019 14:50

Thank you! So it was crisp brands, not flavours. I think that's a bit limited –I personally prefer e.g. salt and vinegar Walkers over Hula Hoops, but Hula Hoops beef are better than ANY Walkers meat flavours.

Also, I've never heard of Slabs, Tyrell's or Seabrook Confused

SlinkyDinkyDoo · 25/03/2019 14:59

Well they've got that all wrong

SlinkyDinkyDoo · 25/03/2019 14:59

No mention of M&S plain?

MeAgainAgain · 25/03/2019 15:01

I strongly disagree with their findings.

RightOnTheEdge · 25/03/2019 20:12

I've never heard of Slabs. How can that be? Confused

Never heard of Slabs either.

Geekster1963 · 25/03/2019 22:18

I'd never heard of Slabs either, but I don't think they were included in the countdown they were just there for that big sandwich. More to the point since when have mini cheddars been crisps! Even out 7 year old DD said 'there not crisps'!

Friolero · 25/03/2019 22:19

Where were frazzles and skips? Don't agree with the results at all, walkers are so boring!

Geekster1963 · 25/03/2019 22:20

It was Kettle in 4th place not Slabs.

Geekster1963 · 25/03/2019 22:21

I'm with you Friolero I love wheat Crunchies too.

Geekster1963 · 25/03/2019 22:22

DarlingNikita I love Seabrooks especially the Beefy and Canadian ham ones. I think they are more of a Northern thing.

DearPrudence · 25/03/2019 22:24

Slabs? Is that a typo?

Geekster1963 · 25/03/2019 22:25

No they were these daft huge crisps.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 25/03/2019 22:26

I've only ever seen Slabs in my local garden centre, they're horrendously expensive but bloody bloody lovely.

DearPrudence · 25/03/2019 22:29

Googled them now. They do look nice actually.

Anyway, Brannigans Lamb and Mint should have been top.

MeAgainAgain · 25/03/2019 22:32

Frazzles is good call.

This is an important thread.

MeAgainAgain · 25/03/2019 22:34

Brannigans Lamb and Mint should have been top.

OMFG do they still exist?

Not seen in london since approx 1998 or um some time-ago

they were my crips of choice.

I liked the ham and mustard

Rockbird · 25/03/2019 22:35

If Mini Cheddars are allowed in then so should prawn crackers be.
