Where do they find these utter twonks?

This selfish moo is willing to break up her entire family and financially cripple she and her husband all for her immaturity and silliness.

What a whingy, moaning waste of space.

Also, this show has its work cut out for itself.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 10/07/2007 20:19

what's it about

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:21

It's about people who emigrate to lead unbelievably lovely lives in places like New Zealand and Australia, but do nothing but buy British food and moan about how much they 'miss' everything in the UK.

Basically they need a slap.

This gal moved away SEVENTEEN years ago, has 5 kids, 3 of whom are adults and consider themselves Kiwis and 2 younger kids. Plus 2 grandkids, acres of land in a cracking place, and a menagerie of animals.

Aren't these shows just for people who want some free trips abroad?

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:22

I'm guessing so, but this gal spying on the house she lived in as a kid from her neighbour's bathtub needs to get a grip.

She's beyond stupid.

oliveoil · 10/07/2007 20:23

whining old feckers

have not seen the program but I know exactly what you mean

"oooh the bacon is not like at home" etc

well it wouldn't be you twat would it, not being from Sainsburys?

fgs

bubblerock · 10/07/2007 20:24

Did you see the private creek at the bottom of their garden in NZ???

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:25

She drives an hour and a half outside Wellington to go to some British food shop and watches old videotapes taken from a car driving in Yorkshire rain.

WTF.

Want an easy life? Don't have kids or expatriate.

Otherwise, STFU.

chocolatemummy · 10/07/2007 20:25

cant understand whats wrong with these people but it seems to happen alot, paople just wanna come back here, god knows why

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:27

The grass is always greener, chocolate.

I've learned that from the experience of having lived abroad for years.

OP posts:
chocolatemummy · 10/07/2007 20:33

I have done that in uk moved somewhere really popular and expensive and ended up moving back to somewhere everybody thinks is crap, not that homesick just fed up being skint and cramped and living amongst materialistic, competative, unfriendly southerners
he he

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:35

Yeah, but she's not skint, living in an overcrowded dump or surrounded by shallow twats because life is so dear where they are in NZ.

I mean, they bought all that land for £46,000 way back.

She's just a cow.

OP posts:
chocolatemummy · 10/07/2007 20:37

true, it just looks amazing, and her chldren and grandkids are there so its not like she is alone, where do you live?

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:38

Edinburgh.

It's overcrowded, costs a fortune and is a bit too bourgeois for my tastes.

So we're moving to West Scotland in a couple of months.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:39

She's only focusing on herself and what she wants, not on what the two younger children want.

OP posts:
chocolatemummy · 10/07/2007 20:41

always though scotland was quite cheap? guess edinbrough is popular and tredny like brighton etc rather than making it better it just makes it unbearable

did you see last weeks?

LuciusCat · 10/07/2007 20:41

she misses the Yorkshire dales - isn't that what NZ looks like anyway?

selfish...

do people take part in this to get free flights back to the UK?

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:43

Haahahaaahaaa. Yes, a very typical English line of thinking, that it's 'cheap' here. LOL!

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:43

Not a PEEP about her younger children and their needs.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:45

I saw last week's. Her problem wasn't Oz, it was her twonk of a husband.

OP posts:
chocolatemummy · 10/07/2007 20:46

yes very ignorant of me, just that all these property programs seem to go up to sctoland and yorks and get twice the house for the money and wenever I have been on holiday abroad you meet scottish people who seem to have loads of money lol
very intelligent research I know

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:48

I always take these property programmes with a HUGE grain of salt, because the other thing they do is say, 'Oh, this house is only 20 minutes from York/Sheffield/Glasgow/etc.' and you're sitting there as a local chortling because it's 20 minutes away at 2AM on Tuesday morning, but an hour just about every other time.

OP posts:
LuciusCat · 10/07/2007 20:49

Scotland isn't cheap - the problem (according to some Dumfries friends of ours) is second home owners* buying lovely little houses in the countryside. Gawd I can't stand them.

I'm sure that the large cities are just as expensive as anywhere else in the UK!

expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:50

They are, cat, because wages are generally much lower.

This gal's a git.

She has TWO YOUNGER CHILDREN. Your needs are secondary to theirs.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/07/2007 20:52

Again, the presenter has completely missed out the two younger children.
