Am recording it - will bring back birth of DD at 29 weeks. Will keep large box of tissues handy. BTW she's a strapping 2.6 year old now!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 21:08

he will be ok won't he? I always get really emotional at stuff like this, especially since i've had my own babies. Poor little soul

IAmAwenSoNobOffIWasHereFirst · 09/07/2007 21:11

I hope so. I think he will. This is really incredible. I forgot how red the stretchmarks look. Tears.. awww I am sooo emotional.

hows baby daisy. I remember your birth thread

Ooh, I'm feeling really traumatised by this! DD had meconium in her waters and cord wrapped around her neck, it makes you think about what could have happened

IAmAwenSoNobOffIWasHereFirst · 09/07/2007 21:15

Get the baby out now

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 09/07/2007 21:15

Oooooooooohhhh!

elasticbandstand · 09/07/2007 21:16

very scarey..

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 21:17

babyboo is lovely thanks...although she doesn't want to be put down today!

oooh, this c-section is bringing it all back...babyboo needed to be resuscitated apparently...i didn't find out till i was reading my notes afterwards

bumperlicious · 09/07/2007 21:17

God, I think only 2.5 weeks from DD's birth is a bit too soon to be watching this. I'm glad I didn't watch it before though!

elasticbandstand · 09/07/2007 21:17

of course he will be ok, this is fight for life...
but edge of your seat. telly

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 21:18

yay.....well done arnab (sp?)

bumperlicious · 09/07/2007 21:18

Oh, daisy, I didn't realise that. Is that common with a CS as they haven't had the fluid squeezed out by the birth canal? How scary.

Ooooh, can't watch...

IAmAwenSoNobOffIWasHereFirst · 09/07/2007 21:21

I never realised how seriously meconium affects the baby.

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 21:22

awen...i hope you're not getting too upset and worried by this...these tings should be banned for pg women

when are you due?

ELF1981 · 09/07/2007 21:22

I was watching the natural birth and talking about the risk and wondered how any body has a natural delivery, then I saw the section one with the cord

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 21:23

i didn't...now i can understand what all the panic is about if theres meconium in your waters

ELF1981 · 09/07/2007 21:24

bumper - it is common for c-section babies to have lots of fluid due to it not being squeezed out, which I didn't know until AFTER I'd had my section and spent what felt like a lifetime holding my breath to hear her cry for the first time.

IAmAwenSoNobOffIWasHereFirst · 09/07/2007 21:24

new years eve. Already have one born by emerg c-section. Complicated birth. Tbh I am getting a better understanding. (that will be the nurse in me i guess). Pretty sure gabriel will be ok as this is a programme about amazing survival.

IAmAwenSoNobOffIWasHereFirst · 09/07/2007 21:25
