The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C

I loved this last night, and last week's was a doozy too. Never been a Bake Off fan, but these celeb episodes are a real treat. Acaster's flapjack and cream horn disasters had me howling, but he pulled it back with the insane fairground showstopper. Looking forward to whatever madness adding Big Narstie to the mix next week will bring.

It's a lot more fun when one or two of the contestants don't really take it so seriously and theres a few disasters and can laugh about it rather than cry.

Big Narstie wasn't feeling well apparently, so Sandi stepped in for the final round.

Jess Phillips came across quite well I thought.

Sandi was better value than Big Narstie who clearly CBA to take it seriously. I couldn't understand him either. He's been on Sunday Brunch a few times and (if I remember correctly) he can cook a bit - he turned up with his own shepherd's pie I believe.

It was very illuminating to see even a 'hardened' Bake Off presenter get so nervous about the judging! I enjoyed seeing Noel faff around with the baking a bit too. They're better when they're relaxed.

Jess was a worthy winner - I had no idea who she was but I like her now. KJT's cake was hysterical and Johnny was so determined to do well. It's a good cause and I'm donating.

I'm a big fan of Jess Phillips as a politician.
Glad it's not just me who couldn't understand a word of what Big Narstie said. To give him the benefit of the doubt perhaps he was trying to be entertaining by not doing what he was supposed to.

I was quite happy when he wasn't there for day 2 (as long as the illness wasn't serious), I just found him annoying. Glad Jess Phillips won, she's a wonderful politician and I would like to see more of her. Her shortbread looked really pretty too.

I'll be honest. The only one I knew the other night was Johnny Vegas, but I'm in Ireland so have an excuse for not knowing British politicians or sportspeople.
Haven't got the first idea who Big Narstie is?!
