I just watched the first half of the new series "Cheat". There is no way that a lecturer can give a fail grade at the last minute for suspected cheating without it going through a board. It boils my piss when I see such stupid mistakes in TV drama. Now I cant settle to watch the rest because I will be finding fault throughout.

I've just turned over. Annoying me. And dull.

Same as when we solicitors watch legal dramas. You have to let it go and allow artistic licence.

Ha yes! I'm a uni lecturer and yep, where was the second marker, academic misconduct committee, referral at Board 🤣
I am enjoying it though. I know how my dr/nurse/Midwife friends feel now about the liberties taken in (some ) medical dramas!

Agreed.

Interesting

Not being a lecturer or a midwife or cop etc etc, its interesting for me to see how these things differ from the reality .
I did think the downmarking would not be allowed though to be honest.

Like those forensics programmes where the pathologist interviews the alleged criminal. That's the police's job!!!

Light-hearted drama rather than documentary?
