I don't know how she can be bothered quite frankly. Her FB bio says 'I'm hard work but I'm worth it' 😂 I think she would be hard work, she talks a mile a minute. In saying that if she's willing to give no-strings sex then I can see why the lads of Southampton are keen.

Jo is really pissing me off more than Sonia in the latest episode. She's not listening at all to his very valid concerns about having another baby. She's being quite emotionally manipulative IMO.

If he didn’t want another baby he would use condoms or have the snip

I haven't watched it yet but I know that my DM was 1 of 14 children (multiple marriages) and she said that she was mainly brought up by her older DSis who was almost an adult when my DM was born. I thought that having huge families like this was a thing of the past. My DM certainly did not have a happy childhood, so she made sure that my BD and I had all the love that we needed.

I just saw it, is it a series? The one i saw sonia just had her 10th baby. The o rourkes seemed more organised but it still seemed very crowded and hectic. And i didnt understand that they planned for 5 months for the babies first birthday.....surely within 5 months there would have been a couple of other birthdays with 10 kids? Or do they only have a party for their 1st birthday?? And at the end i found it a bit sad when they said sonia had a treat for all the kids....and they went to the park. Sorry but I cant see that being much of a treat for the older ones. Its almost impossible to find a single activity to suit kids from 1 to 18. I think the older ones just went along as extra chilcare for the smaller ones

It was weird that trip to the park.

Those older teens are 14/15/16 (was one 19?)as far as I remember. Why aren’t they off out with their friends? Have they never had the chance to go and make friends because they always have to help out with siblings? What teenager gets excited about a trip to the swings with their mum and 9 siblings?

I came across the oldest girl's Facebook and it is full of pictures of the youngest (2nd youngest now) child, you would think it was her baby. I suppose i f Sonya is spending several nights a week with her boyfriend the oldest girls are surrogate mothers.

eva not just the oldest girl’s FB! Two others I found were full of pictures of themselves and Lexi (the blonde toddler girl) and that’s it. No other siblings. I found it quite weird tbh. I also noticed in the show that Lexi was the only one that Sonya spoke kindly to. The rest were screeched and shouted at. Lexi was spoken to tenderly. There was a notable difference. I wonder if that has continued now the new baby is here.

I loved her telling her daughter not to swear as she doesn't. then next episode she was effing and jeffing. because her 'child' left at home to sort all her other children couldn't cope. here's an idea stop having more kids and focus on the ones you have ...

Just started watching. Their diets are appalling too.

I wasn't impressed with 1 single parent who relied on her older children to look after the younger children whilst she went to hospital Think she was being induced.Why can't she buy some more bowls surely with the money she's getting she can so why can't she and she's saving money on condoms so where is her money going and the flat she had was disgusting.So unimpressed and didn't think she was funny at all it's the children i feel sorry for.

I think an addiction to the baby stage underlys this. It seems the woman driving the producing & the partner puts up & shuts up. There was a similar series years back. All the older kids were deeply resentful at having to spend hours looking after younger ones & missing time they wanted for study & a social life. I also taught in a school where a family of 9 attended. All the teachers noticed all of them used fake 'illness' for attention,as that was obviously what it took to get one on one time at home.

Wow I never know so many ppl was talking about the show..I would first like to say I don’t have 3 bowls I have a hole cupboard full of them but at that time I had 3 because my son wanted to wash up to get some pocket money and as he was trying his best he knocked a lot of plates and bowl on the floor he was so upset..it’s not like I let my kids go with out I really do try my best for them..and there is no mental health problems in my family..I have 4 days on total..Chris is the farther to my oldest I was 18 and he was a violent nasty bit of work to me..I left him and I met Shane he is the dad to 7 of the children I was married to him for 15 years I was a full time house wife he worked I run the home..it ended 6 years ago yes he pays for them as well he is very supporting..than i next met terry he’s lexie-may dad I was with him 2 years but the relationship broke down..he sees Lexie he pays for her..and Kurt is dad to baby Daniel we don’t live together cos it’s a very hard relationship at the moment I am hoping it gets better so we can move in and be a proper family..some of the things the show put on there really wasn’t my best I have used Condoms i must of done like 1000 recording with the tv craw and that was the worse they picked..I’m not shamed of having 10 kids I love all of them to bits..there is no plans at all to have any more I will be making sure he is wearing rain coat before anything..if anyone wants to ask me anything plz do

I have some questions:

1. Why did you have so many children? Did you genuinely want that many, or did you just not bother with contraception?
2. How many children would you like your own children to have?
3. Do you have any qualifications?
4. Have you ever had a job outside of the home?
5. What are your plans for when all your children have grown up?

Nice of you to come on Sonya, I really hope for the children's sake that you don't have any more, it really isn't fair on them. I don't know if you realized but in the show you came across very 'me, me, me'. I understand that sometimes the way things are edited can be misconstrued but it really did seem as if your decision not to use condoms has had a big impact on the oldest girls.

I really hope that you do go back to education and please, please do not move in with Kurt. You said yourself it is a difficult relationship and I think you owe it to your children first and foremost to give them a home that is as settled as possible.

I would like to ask if you enjoyed doing the filming? Also if it's not too personal why was Kurt blurred out during the birth?

Good questions 1 i'd ask is if she thinks her use of foul language might influence the kids to also use it ? I thought her swearing on the phone sounded vile especially when her older girls were looking after the younger kids when they could have been doing other things.

Sonya is back, her two eldest daughters have moved out and so now the next eldest has become her reluctant "right hand man".

@notusedbysomeonealready i watched the first episode of season 2 lat night on catch up but the recording cut off before the end. The woman with the 10 kids hasn't got any better although i was surprised she wasn't pregnant again, the family in South Wales seemed fairly normal for such a TV show but I do wonder how those with the 8 young children including baby twins and one on the way are even all still alive?!? Surely those twins should be left in baby bouncy chairs when they can sit up and crawl? And that one who climbs out of windows......I couldn't watch!!

I watched the new series last night. The family with the young twins and another baby, number 9, on the way - how do they all fit in the house?! They said it was a 3 bed semi. It seemed so chaotic when they were getting ready to go to the park. Fair play to the husband working all hours to support them though.

What the hell's going on with the younger kids in the Seymour family ?? The younger kids in particular are feral. 😳😳😳

Is that's the family who seem to just chuck all the kids in their Land Rover with no car seats and barely any seat belts? I want to know how the he'll they don't have a visit from someone about that.

@Daisypod I've been trying to work out how all the kids fit into three LandRover! Naively I presumed it was modified in some way, it didn't occur to me they were not using car seats

@MummyOfBoyAndGirl I was wondering that too! The older ones fine, but there were definitely some “should still have car seats” children in the last episode just sat on a normal seat

Incidentally, Sonia, the mum from Southampton complained to the press her words in the last show had been twisted out of proportion... so why agree to do the show again?!
