Who is that guy in the rice krispies ad? Was he really in a band or is he just an actor?

For a moment I thought it was Nick Kamen but I don't think so now, anyone got any ideas?

funny I thought I recognised him as well and the wee girl really looks like him so thought were really related... defo not nick kamen tho..

no def not nick kamen, have just googled him and wow i still fancy him now - 20 years later (god i feel old)
