Is anyone else watching this? It's very moving - it's about foundlings.

To add though I do think it's pretty awful all round for somebody to find out he fathered a child he didn't know existed who was given up for adoption because they were dumped in a car park at birth and what that would do to you and whatever family you have.

And then after that, for that women to be put in an EXPLAIN YOURSELF situation to every relationship she has

But should the Foundlings be forced to accept that this is just "their lot in life and get on with it" no I don't they deserve answers

What you see on camera is what happens at the very end. All of this will have been researched, checked, analysed etc well before the cameras are involved. Permission from everyone will have been sought, legal agreements signed etc. They use specialists and counsellors to speak to people.

As with all episodes of long lost family, there will be many stories that don't make the cut because one of the parties refuses consent or there is no positive outcome.

I'm an adoptee and used an intermediary service when tracing my birth family where the interests of everyone are considered and any approaches are made with sensitivity. The makers of the programme will follow those guidelines.
